Black & Blue front seats

I was lucky enough to find a full set of seats in black and blue to replace my torn driver side seat, does anyone know the Mercedes official color that they called the blue insert? I am trying to have them repaired before placing them in the car they seem to have light scratches on him where the dye seems to be wearing off a little bit. thinking about possibly dyeing them myself, if I knew the correct name color or taking it to upholstery shop to have them do it. If anybody has any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Possilby Pacific Blue but to be sure provide your VIN and I can look how your car was specifically built.

that’s the problem my car didn’t come with that set up, my interior was just all black. I was able to obtain the two-tone interior, but it’s not original to the car.

Alex will tell you how and what he uses to dye match and fully re-do a BMW's seats.

There are lots (maybe 400) listed seat covers under the E55 parts catalog. Are these seats from an E55 2003 - 2006?

Yes, the seats originally came out of a 2004 E 55, the car was a silver exterior. I’m pretty sure I can dye them myself. They’re really not that bad even looks better in person than the pictures. It’s just a matter of knowing the exact color.

Looking through the long list of seat covers it looks like there several possible colors of blue:
Pacific Blue
Designo Mystic Blue
Designo Ocean Blue
Designo Mauritius Blue
Palm Gray (maybe this is a blueish color)
As a 2004 car I think that may have been before the Designo time frame and if so then you could dismiss those colors.

Did the video help?

The video absolutely did help, thank you. I’m definitely doing it myself once I can narrow down the color. I’ll look those colors up to see if any of them looks close.

Here is what the parts catalog reports. Surprised me. Not sure what the codes are telling us.

My car is Capri Blue. Paint code 359. There may be some pics of the interior in my thread. Link is in my signature line.

It has the blue inserts in the seats. On the window sticker all it shows is this for the seats.

(Charcoal/Blue Nappa Leather)

Also on my VMI report from the dealer it only gives a code of 252 for the interior. There is NO A after my 252 code.
