Sealant for m113k head gaskets
In the process of doing a freshen up on a m112k ( pretty much the 113k with 2 less cylinders) and the old head gaskets have a silicone sealant on them I assume from the factor. The new Mercedes oem gaskets are dry metal and I have installed them without sealant.
I am thinking I may have a problem with no sealant, what if any sealant have yiu guys used? Here is a picture of the used gasket I took off and the new Mercedes gasket. Don’t want to put it in and have coolant and oil intermix issues.

You should not have an issue. The sealant is only used from the factory and is not required for rebuilds. I have never used it a few builds for myself but.......make sure the block is flat and the heads especially and you should be good to go.
If you think there will be an issue then put it on.
