I know this has been done several times on this site, but I would like to get a thead going of W211's with various wheel pictures. I am looking at purchasing some wheels for my E55, and I think it would be really nice to have one thread with all the pictures in one instead of members saying, "here, go to this link, that link, etc."

Anyone wanna buy me a set of Carlsson UL's in 19's???

i may be biased by it seems the 547r's (mine) and the brabus look like they belong. most others dont seem to "fit". just my 2c though.

I personally feel that the HRE 547R wheel does not have enough body to it and looks to light on the E55. Now, the HRE 441R and the 448R wheels have more body to them and would be my choice if I were going to use an HRE wheel.

After seeing all the different combinations I still feel the 19" "Maya" STM, Graphite Polished version of that wheel, would be my choice. :) - Bob

would those "bling" style wheels would work for racing events??? I have a bone stock '04 E55. I raced it in 5 autocross events last year and now I'm ready to get an extra set of rims/tires specifically for autocross and track events. Any advice on dimensions? Should I stick to the OEM dimensions? I doubt I could find a better wheel size than what all the engineers at AMG thought works best. However, it would be my chance to break away from my mild mannered look and throw on some larger bling-style wheels for the race events.

Yeah I also think the 65 wheels are the only way to go...but check out this white '03 E55. It's stock but the interrior...well...it speaks for itslef :v

I have an 04 E55. I am thinking about buying the 19" HRE's that "Dr. Chill" has on his car. However, I live in NY and I am concerned that I will bend the rims. Anyone that could give me some feedback on how easily the 19" rims bend would be appreciated. What is the biggest size tire that will fit in the wheel well with the 19" rim ? I am looking to cushion the rim.

To the best of my knowledge the "biggest" you would be able to go on would be a 35 series tire for the rear and a 40 series up front. I could be wrong, someone please correct me if so. I had 20 inch HRE 542R's on my ride and had gone over many pot holes (not intentionally) and they have made it out no problem. I hope this helps out a little bit.

I still think the Kinesis line is worth a hard look... they definitely aren't that typical or common... I love mine, custom matched silver on silver...

I looked at a lot of combinations... dreamt of HREs, almost got them, then saw these Kinesis'. They don't scream bling and appear to belong and look timeless... and yet have a wildness to them when you see them up close.

My WALD lip got ripped in half when my mom was drivin the car around for 2 weeks while I was in Denmark training with my fellow Marines...She told me she went over those little parking concrete blocks, and when she was backing out, the lip got caught and just ripped in half...To tell you the truth, I was wanting to back to the AMG because I thought it looked more aggressive and I was beginning to want that look again.

I am waiting on some new add-on's for the car. They should be in real soon...

and this way you don't have to pay for it as you can guilt your mom into paying for it... :p

Are you into show? or are in you into show and go?

If you are into show go 20's (but your performance will suffer)
If you want some show without hurting performance go with 19's.

I'm running 245/35/19 up front and 275/30/19 out back.

I'm in the same boat and you beat me to the punch on starting this thread. Attached are the rims I have. The black caps in the wheel pic pop on and off. I kinda like having it that way since every time I put them on/take them off, people have asked me if I got a new set of wheels. They are staggered 19" with 8.5 in front and 9.5 in rear.

I am looking to possibly pick up a new set of wheels. Checking to see if I can find something better in the 400 per wheel range. Now, before I get brow beaten by the people with the 3000 per wheel, forged titanium allow , 2 lb, boost your 0-60 to 2 seconds flat, reaches out and scratches your balls before you get in the car wheels, I am not gonna spend that kind of money yet. Other things to buy right now.

Without hijacking your thread, if you want, I'll post pics of the wheels I find that I think are worth having others chime in on. Again, no worries if you are in the market for those "ball scratching" rims and you wanted to keep this thread at that level. Let me know.

yeah, i was thinking 19s, as well. i would take form over function any day. i was hoping to run something larger out back, though. 295's would be nice.

that looks like the factory 2010 setup, if i'm not mistaken. do you know if they are 19's or 18's? i like how the spokes are cut out.

Eyceburg...nice E-Class...how does that thing ride in the streets of NY & NJ? What size tires? I live in Westchester but drive in Brooklyn often and that can be brutal on rims but most importantly I don't want something that is harsh.

Looking to get a pair of wheels and tires but unsure if I want the Euro63's or the Forgestar F14's for my black 09 E63. Should I go with 19" or 20" wheel, SS or Black Matte Finish?

Here are few pictures of my wheels, 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 in the rear. the true width is 9" in the front and 10" in the rear, the wheel manufacturer measures from the inside on the bead or lip. These wheels are wrapped in 245/35-19 and 275/30-19. I love these wheels, and so do most others E55 and E63 owners.

I've got the same finish in 18" sitting in my garage to put on my W208 CLK 55.

I wasn't in a hurry, and in fact they've been sitting for a couple of months because I've been busy, but after seeing how nice they look on your car I think I'm gonna have to drop by Discount Tire tomorrow to order up some new tires!

Well I ordered my new tires from Disount Tire this morning.

the wheels came with the hubcentric rings and the same center caps you have.

my dealer (Modbargains.com) told me that the wheels were supposed to be used with the factory wheel bolts - do I need to order some different lug bolts?!?:confused:

There's some chatter going on in the 211AMG forum right now about it - apparently you should have "cone" or "conical" seated lug bolts v the factory which are "ball" seated. I went ahead and ordered a new set (3 sets actually, because I got the first size wrong, the second set are RAD german bolts but they're silver colored and then I got the bright idea to order black ones to see how that would look). Each set is about 35.00 dollars plus shipping. I'm running the factory ones right now but the new ones go on next week (when I get home from the business trip on now). Supposedly, there's a possibility of the bolts coming loose and a member (with a different brand of wheels) sheared one of his off when he used stock instead of cone (and had problems with other ones coming loose). For 35.00, I'm not messing with it or taking the chance. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info! yeah I looked at the wheels and they are "cone seat" and pulled one of my lugs and its "ball seat" so I called Discount Tire back up and the guy new exactly what I was talking about - he has the right cone seat bolts for my car in stock for $60 a set, so I told him to add it to my order (special ordered a set of Hankook Ventus V12's, hearing lots of good feedback on them). I know I coulda got them a bit cheaper on fleabay, but I wanted to insure I got the exact right size with no hassles, and Discount Tire has been good to me (hell I've spent probably 10 grand there in the last 10 years!)

07 E63 designo graphite, lots of stuff, SDS lowered, flat badge, huper tint, new style 19" 63's with PS2, remote passport, pano, great fun to drive...I'll get some better pix soon....It's about 200 degrees down here now, and just too hot to get her out!

I put some pics up of it in the garage last week, but don't have any with the clear corner lenses and flat badge yet. Maybe I'll find a field this weekend to take some good pics in.

I got the badge on after a little bit of work. That sucker fits tight! It's a tiny bit twisted counter-clockwise, but I'm afraid to try and reposition it because I somehow managed to snap a small piece of plastic off the bottom while trying to lock it. :smash:

How do you like the lug bolts? They look really sick on the car. They really stand out on those wheels, very noticeable. What are people saying about them?

Ya man they do look sick! Have you been selling quite a few sets? There were a few Audi guys and one turbo p-car guy last saturday that were extremely interested in the wheels at first and then the lugs always get brought up in conversation. HRE + DPS = FTMFW :bow:

Yes I did...everything on the car that was chrome was detrimmed and painted matte black.

Not sure if you got your answer by now... But on my Kleeman module if you went too low it threw a car to low, visit workshop message. Sweet thing about the lowering links is you can go low as you want...

original centers were light grey but it didn't pop for me so I sent them to HRE and had them polished. I'm not a big chrome lover, but I like the way they turned out..............almost want to compare it to silver though...........one of these days. Thanks, Tal !!!

Not sure on the offset, but mine are 20x9 & 20x10.5. Emoving might know as these are identical to his old wheels.

I like to back in and get the nose of my car as far out of the lane of traffic as possible.

No, the rear end is hanging past the curb. If the car was any lower or curb any higher there would be some damage done... sure wouldn't sound nice leaving and hearing the mufflers dragged off of the curb. Just a pet peeve of mine I guess...

Does your front wheels rub on your fenders when you turn? I like driving with my front tires tucked under my fenders and I have a serious issue with breaking and replacing fenders all the time..

pull your fenders rick. I'm tucking tire in front with 245/35/19 on a 19x8.5 ET 18 front wheel, haven't broken any fenders just some mild rubbing on u-turns.

The tires are some generic 245/35/20s.. I kinda figured the walls were a issue, but once I messed up the fenders the first time, I left it.. I'm getting new fenders soon so I'll be picking up some 19's and changing up the setup..

I have been looking at wheels for the past month and I can't find the right ones. My favourite are the ADV10 but $6K is just ridiculos for rims. I was looking at Advan, Weds Sport and Rota but they just don't have the right staggered set up that I'm looking for. I'd like to get 18X9 or 9.5 for the front and 18X10 or 10.5 in the back. Deep concave rims with 5 or 10 spokes!
I have only seen one E55/63 that has the ADV10 rims on and they look great.
Any suggestion will be great.

What's your price range? HRE, CCW, Forgestar, DPE, BBS and many others make great looking wheels for our cars.

My price range is $2000 without tires. I looked at all the wheels available from the offical MB tuners and I can't find anything that I like. I also loked at the new american luxury wheel companies, still nothing in my price range. The ADV10 is an awesome wheel but way over priced. My favourite are the wedssport TC105N, too bad they are 5X114.3 bolt pattern.

What's the size of the wheel & tire combination?

I finally settled on the 19" Euro26 wheels (Monarch replicas) and a Programa lowering module so she doesn't look like and SUV...

Those Vossens are incredible, although the car would look much sharper with an E63 front end, it would compliment the wheels more. They're very sharp looking wheels, very edgy and with a roundish front it does seem a little out of place.

Look like CLS offsets. Is there alot of rubbing, and what size tires are you running? Best looking E class in my opinion.

yeah they're CLS/SL offsets. :y

it rubbed in the front on hard turns and there is slight rubbing in the rear when I have 3+ passengers when going over bumps in the road. Im running 225/35/20 in the front and 245/35/20 in the rear

So I'm guessing you had to roll them to get the running to stop

What! Those are puny tires in the rear. I have 295 in the rear with 20s. I guess that is the down side to running CLS offsets. Hell, 265 are stock in the rear so you actually shrunk your sizes.

I want the same wheels, someone is selling me a set from SL55, do they fit on E55?

yes it gives the look of a piano roof, should look quite good on a wagon, heat wise .....in the uk we have only two types of weather wet and wetter :) Im also having some brake rotor mounting hats made and some modified caliper mounting brakets machined so I can use up sized light two piece rotors.

Hows the car looking now after the incident with the deer?

Everything is painted and back in place - we're having issues getting the side brackets for the new E63 bumper (all the ones that MB is sending are cut - we've had 3 come in and have to be sent back already:X). . .now while we're waiting, the calipers are going to get painted and I'm researching where to get the front clear bra'd. . .got the front lip coming from Gary (hopefully in the next week:)

I'm waiting on my center caps and lug studs to come in.. Once they get here, I'll get them mounted.. (:

BTW: would you mind taking a side shot of your wheels? I want to see how stretched your tires are.. I haven't ordered my tires and am still uncertain to what sizes I should order.. I ride my 55 dumped all day and want it to rub as minimal as possible.. HAHA
