Hi everyone,

I am also looking to change my 4 spoke steering wheel to the 3 spoke amg with alcantra. I have 2010 e63 with drive lane assist. Anyone know if this wheel would work for my car?

You can swap the steering wheel yourself, and there is a DIY thread on how to do it. It takes less than 20mins for the swap and it's not that hard.

Hello! I just bought this from the guy on ebay. The steering wheel will fit, HOWEVER the air bag he sent me WILL NOT! The air bag is missing a wiring harness for the Lane Assist option. He has been totally unresponsive so I am stuck with an extra air bag after buying the correct one at the dealer. Changing the steering wheel is pretty easy, however, you will need to reset some codes. My dealer charged an hour labor. Hope this helps...feel free to contact me for more info. Mike

One more thing. There are many air bag part numbers for your car. I had help from another Forum Member and learned a lot about this. Depends on your VIN and options which airbag you require.

I have no problem buying from that guy on ebay. Lane assist option works as well as the airbag. Maybe he sent you the wrong airbag. And no coding are required. Just a side note, the steering wheel came from Germany and the airbag was send from Los Angles. Hope this helps.

Yes, he did indeed send me the wrong airbag, but has disappeared after the sale. Airbag part number was correct but it was missing a wiring harness. All Mercedes factory parts, which is great. Discount price is about 1/3 of what dealer wanted for exact same parts. However, I had to pay $1100.00 for the correct airbag from dealer. So now I will put the one I got from the ebay guy back on ebay and see if I can recoup some $$$. Be wary, my friend!
