on this link it shows the trunk of S sedan w/ B&O and no spare... but it is smaller
That isn't what production cars look like. The spare is on floor, drawer thing is above it. Probably 15" between spare (which is space saver) and box thing under rear deck.
Nice work getting pic, that's exactly what I saw on the two S sedans delivered. My wagon is in production, and I saw these before order closed. NFW I want B&O. Sedan didn't have enough trunk room, S8 less still, and I need room for roadtrips without hassle, nor boredom.

I fiddled with contrast a bit and blew original up some. Spare takes up 60% of floor between wheelwells, with 20% on either side. Maybe CF continental kit? I've had lots of new cars sans spares, but this looks pathetic.

Just talked to my salesguy. On the DOG it says that with B&O the spare is deleted... but he is inquiring if it is replaced by a tire foam can and a compressor... I doubt they will put run flats on just the cars ordered with B&O. I'll post back as soon as I have news.

Just got reply from Product Management Analyst from MB Canada and if the car is equipped with B&O it will come with TIREFIT (can and compressor) with the spare deleted.

Don't know in the states... maybe a spare is mandatory in the states and not in Canada?

I ordered mine with the B & O and could not be happier. I never once used my spare on my '09 C63 AMG; ever. The design is questionable but there is no way to park that spare in the trunk given the room the equipment (yet another driver) takes up. My solution was to place a plug kit and a leatherman tool in the left rear storage which will work fine should I take a nail, in the middle of nowhere, with no cellphone reception to get road assist.....

There is no way one can reproduce the sound of that B and O system with an $800 upgrade IMHO which is why both MBZ and BMW (my friend has a 2013 M5 with their B & O upgrade on it) adopted it. It is the most amazing sound system I've heard and I have installed PLENTY over the years.

You will however find a starked difference between the sound afforded thru Sirius vs iPod vs CD's. They are very different but in all modes it is hard to imagine it without hearing it.

Worth every penny of the option (all 540,000 of them to be precise).

Sound systems are like wheels, there are guys that swear by paying top dollar for them and makes them so happy, and there are other guys that just cant see it. So I get where you are coming from, and in the end as long as you are happy and appreciate it, that is all that matters.

I personally cant remember then last time I turned the radio up very loud, so for me a nice sound system does nothing for my ownership experience.

I am sure the B&O system sounds unreal, it better!!

My sales person advised me not to purchase the B&O system when I ordered my E63S wagon. He said that when the spare is eliminated, the tires used are "run-flat" tires which changes the handling and ride characteristics.

Maybe that's true for USA but Canada we dont get runflats, we get tirefit.

I ordered and have the 212.076 not the 212.276 so I do not know how they equip the wagons. Mine are not run flats nor am I a fan of run flats (ordered them on my daughter's BMW convertible and not only were they wildly expensive you still need to replace the tire and cannot always do it quickly depending upon where you are).

My only remaining thing to do is to find the best portable compressor available outside of the TIREFIT solution. With that, a plug kit, and a leatherman tool I think I can handle whatever shows up.

If you are in the States your salesperson is wrong. I just now looked and mine is equipped with the TIREFIT box. It came with the spare in a very nice carrying case all of which now sits in a storage unit. Have the TIREFIT, a slime plug kit, and I should be good to go. The tires are NOT run flats.

S550
Mine has B&O and looking it when I first saw car I thought the same. I went back next day with two sets of clubs, both fit across trunk which still left room, in addition the rear seats fold down. I have to say the stereo is incredible I just sit in car in garage and listen to music! I guess for $5500 it should be!

Indeed. For me, the sound of the AMG engine and exhaust is more than enough for my auditory enjoyment.

'14 E63S, '13 G550, '06 E320 cdi, and a bunch of other stuff.
Just adding some additional information to this thread:

I think it's now clear that the US and Canadian sedans are being fitted differently when it comes to the B&O option.

I snagged this photo from a listing for an in-stock B&O equipped sedan in the States:

And these are pics from Choco's delivered Canadian sedan:

Good pic comparo... We get a Tire fit kit in canada but I will get a set of tire plugs at Canadian Tire to fix a flat... quite easy to do (lots of youtube videos). Oce you use tirefit the tire is ruined... It's just to save your soul and get to a garage!!

That bag with the spare is insane for the US cars. How do you even use your trunk with that?? Exactly why I decided not to get B&O (besides ridiculous upcharge for minimal performance gains)

I do love the stereo... It's a lot better than the standard HK system was in my C63, and the detailing on the speakers inside the car definitely class it up... but to each their own.

The spare in the trunk would probably have killed it for me too... I listened to the B&O in an S550 a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. I decided to go with it before the car froze.

I had a Burnmester system in my Porsche and it was awesome, so I know these systems sound good. The thing is that I use my iPhone 90% of the time for music, or satellite radio. Both are compressed audio and really don't sound too much different on either system.

So if you don't order the B&O stereo, you get a conventional spare tire under the trunk floor?
