B&O "reduced trunk room"
Looked at 2 sedans this week pre-delivery. Both had B&O. Spare, space saver, mounted in middle of trunk floor.
With storage drawer above, looks like clearance for 5-6 slices of unbuttered wheat toast. NFW golf clubs or bags for trip for 2 yet alone 4 will fit.
Also, both had Night package, still had chrome pipes, trunk trim, and window surrounds.
I was stunned at trunk dimunition.
I've got first wagon allocation, and tinnitus pre-empted B&O order, but I wouldn't consider it now. Sorry no pics.

good to know, I heard this from a friend and decided against the B&O. I also heard that you can get 90% of the sound improvement of B&O by paying like $800 and getting a better amp with minimal modification.

Hmmm... When I ordered it they told me I couldn't get the trunk box with the b&o.
Any chance someone could snap a pic of this if they are seeing cars pre delivery?
For those who have seen it - I take it you don't think I could fit a bag of hockey equipment in there? What about down the side with one of the seats folded?

May fit longitudinally, but height is <12" between tire and drawer. Not large straight shots due to tire. Rear seat folded and put in thru door prob will fit. Golf bag, softball bag, any average carry-on won't fit well. Knew I should have gotten pic, both cars delivered.
Exhaust note very nice outside, nicely audible but muted inside.
I'll try to grab pic next batch.
Dealership staff stunned.

I would love to see some pics of the trunk. Those are good descriptions but too complicated for me.

LOL i saw one today. the execution of the B&O with the spare is pretty funny. i couldn't believe it. and the sales person was even worse. he said, ''if this is an issue for u, then u're not ready for this car.'' what a joke.
i'll be looking for a wagon tomorrow, which i'm thinking bout ordering one. but for sure i'm not going back to this sales/dealer i went today.

I'm not going to be changing a tire around town. A highway trip yeah I'd want it though.

As for the dumb sales guy, ya know car salesmen wonder why they have a bad reputation. Obviously they arent all bad in fact i love mine I think he is awesome, but come on who on earth would say someting like that?
Thats a great way to talk yourself out of a sale when trying to buy something that sells itself! You should really let someone know that they said that its not excusable IMO.
Sorry you had a bad experience. No one deserves to have a bad experience when buying a nice car, just makes it so crappy.

Now I really want to see this! Cant see Benz doing a short cut on something like this, but nothing surprises me anymore.

Too bad the wagon I'm going to see today doesn't have B&O. I would like to know if by ordering the B&O u lose the 3rd seat. Not that I'd ever used it but for bragging right that's pretty cool - World fastest rear facing seat. Haha.

Apology guys. Dealer website has the wrong info so the stock unit is a sedan not wagon, although listed as wagon. Allocation won't be available until early 2014 as I was told.
Not sure about rear facing seat so I guess E63 doesn't have it. Looks like I have plenty of time to do he on the car. Drove the sedan. Felt good when the 4WD allows all the power to the ground. Great job AMG!

Any pictures of wagons with B&O? I'm considering it but if the tire is sitting in the physical trunk space thats a bit stupid from MB!! option is rear mounted spare tire "a la jeep"!

Anyone have any pics of a B&O in a sedan? I definitely need to see one before I order. I'm a little dissapointed in what I've read so far. Was really excited for the stereo but if it totally kills trunk space I might have to say no.

there u go guys. notice above the spare there's another box as well. u get the idea how narrow the space in between would be. don't shoot the messenger. i would like to know who designed this crap.

Thanks for the pic... and ruining my dreams! dammit!
looks like you'd have to give up the spare... which I would want on highway trips which is also when I would want all the space. Driving around town I would be fine with no spare. hmmm

OK, I don't have one yet (AMG) so I am not a member, but can someone log into https://www.mercedes-amg.com/private...ration/welcome and get some feedback - there is also a contact email...
Let's get to the bottom of this - that spare looks pathetic....

on this link it shows the trunk of S sedan w/ B&O and no spare... but it is smaller (See the pickup in height towards end of trunk)

well, i don't think there's much to call for. it's the design & it's a after thought clearly. being a facelift mid-cycle model i don't think they are going to re-engineer the best design there for this matter.
yes i agree with the spare in there it's pretty retarded but if one has to have the B&O then driving without spare is probably the way to do it. i wonder why MB didn't option the car with some run-flat tires, although it will sacrifice the ride & performance a bit but that seems to be the more logical way to do it.
