Sand or Light brown interior?
I am in the process of deciding options for ordering a '14 E63 wagon. Want white exterior with either Sand or Light Brown Designo interior. Someone has posted photos of the Light Brown on a new white E63 S sedan. Does anyone have photos of Sand "in the flesh"? I don't want the orangey tones of the Amaretto, but worry that Sand may be too light. Opinions and photos appreciated. Hard to make up my mind when all you see are the 6x6 square samples in the dealership, or the colour on the AMG website...

I have a Diamond White wagon on order with the light brown designo interior. According to my general manager, the factory told him it would add another six to eight weeks on the delivery. He said the designo interior is hand sewn but I don't know if that implies the standard interior is or is not. As I tend to keep my cars long term the extra wait will be worth it.

I also have a light Brown car on order... hesitating between DW and OB exterior color. I saw an E350 with sand interior and it looks nice, but I have 2 kids and felt light Brown would be better. It's more classic look and sand is more fashion (a bit greenish I find). I agree that amaretto is too orange. Too bad they dont have a nice red like BMW.

I tend to keep my vehicles a long time as well, so I really do not mind the wait! I do not really like the standard (boring) colours and the $1800 charge for a designo interior in Canada seems fair to me on a $100k vehicle. Just make it seem more special, more so because this is the surface we interact most with. I agree on the red. That would look so hot with white/black, but then they do offer pastel yellow

So much boring colors inside and out, even in the designo portfolio. Graphite gray does look hot though... with a red interior it would be killer!
