2014 Delivered Wheel Tire Combos

I'm curious about the seemingly random tire assortment on the 2014's that are being delivered. Is there any logic to why one car has Pirelli's and the next has Conti's?

Whatever is next on supply pile. They have mostly automated tire mounting systems, and put them together as sets. Benz to big to specify from factory, but Ferrari, some others you can. VPC at port can sometimes switch sets depending on dealer grunt, or once at store. Wife's M3 had contis delivered, I had them swap for PS3 set on another unsold unit. Pretty random. I refuse to use contis, so PSS going on in that event. Pirellis nice, so I'll flog them for a bit.

ill be switching to Michelin PSS at some point, not a fan of the continentals and pirellis dont last long enough!

Bumping for new deliveries.

62% are being delivered in Pirellis.

I don't know what summers I have as they are being stored at the dealer and I took delivery on winters.

Also, PSS isn't available in our OEM sizing :(

Mine was delivered with PZeros and 19" 5 star forged rims (you need to add up some $$$$). I used Pirellis just to get home. Next day i put on Dunlop SportMaxx Race which have by the way "MO" sign which is translated into "Mercedes Original" (mercedes-benz.inchcape.co.uk/tyres/mercedes-original-tyres.aspx). The tyres are nice: the grip in dry is outstanding and in wet they not bad at all. Anyway they are definitely better than my previous Michelin PSS on BMW 550xi. This spring i will try as well new Michelin Sport Cup 2 as they are said to outperform even my Dunlops. The only thing is the sizes...

Let us know how those Dunlop Sport MAXX race hold up to daily driving on your E63.
I have been using them on the track on my C63. Grip is addictive.
Expensive!

Daily driving is really good, even in wet the grip won't fade away. They might feel a bit tough on bumps but cornering is veeeery linear. After having put Pirelli PSZII i thought first i was on jelly wheels.
