'12 Headlight haze? Anyone else?
#77
I have the same thing on my '10 E550. Identical on both sides. Very visible during the day. I feel that this ruins my light output. Looking at my beam pattern there are noticeable high spots in middle, then gets darker, then brighter again. I am certain the residue is either blocking light output or reflecting it back into housing. I'm out of warranty and wonder if they will take care of this if I complain enough.

E63 Black on Black
After replacement issue seems to stilll reside however only had the car back for a few days noticable identical haze forming however that may be due to dust on the outside which get lit up due to the light. This is easily fixed by wiping the exterior free from dust, but it is disconcerting to see the same pattern again, even though not permanently when in the day light (only when the lights are on)

Those are good pictures from greekstyle showing the V pattern clearly. Wow, V for Victory or Vendetta...

V for Very annoying. I shine my lights at my garage door and I can clearly see a V-shaped distortion in the beam pattern. Light output/beam is effected. I would have taken pics if not for the rain. The beam looks sloppy and its breaking my Osram CBI's heart. I printed the TSB and im going to dealer next week to explode.

I just got my 2012 and noticed this on my headlights. My thought is that the light is etching the covers sort of like sub surface laser engraving. There is a strong light source and clear substrate. Wonder if I'll be able to get this covered?

My car is out of warranty. Dealer said nothing they can do. I immidiately emailed MBUSA and *****ed about it. Got a call next day and was told to contact dealer and setup appointment with head of service to see what they can do. I emailed pics of beam pattern to them so they can see how bad it is. Contacted Lightwerks in NJ and they said beam pattern is effected and that projector bowls may be burned cause my color output on the Osram CBI is way off. Anyone get them replaced out of warranty?

I highlighted the areas right under the focused spot. This close to the garage some light seeps through but on the road it is easy to see the dark spots. My beam is messed up too. Just drove my friend to airport and could not help but be jealous at his perfectly straight beam pattern and uniform light on a 20k Hyundai. I attached a comparison.

Picked the car up this afternoon after they had to order a few parts for other small issues...anyway I asked my SA about the haze on the headlight and he said it was not a TSB but that the part was defective. He said it was a V shaped haze on the inside of the headlight. He had to remove the bumper to install new headlights. Sorry can't help you more. I am under warranty though.

Yeah its amazing how much bull **** there is with this matter.
I complained in December. Didn't here back at all. I emailed again this week stressing how the light output had diminished and was a safety Hazard. Got email back next morning saying that the lights were ordered.
Do we know for sure if the bumper needs removal
