Tuning e63 s awd
Anyone tune a awd e63? With the 4matic is there any concern that the drivetrain can't handle as much torque as the rwd drivetrain?

4wd stock has 600 split 400 rear/200 front. Since rear handles full output of tuned RWD, probably good for 3-400 more. Front at 150% is 300, so 33/67 split is 300/600. 900lbft just fine. Some of issue seems to be new coding in DME.
Hope M157 AWD tune available soon since more cars out there now to develop.

I renntech tuned my CLS63-S and spent a lot of time speaking with one of their tuners and he made me feel very confident that my car could handle the power and more I'm so happy with the results.

Yeah no tune problems. I actually took it to the drag strip 2 times.11.3 qtr@124.8mph.
Also ran it on a road course, no issues. And I was very surprised on how fast the car was. I actually abuse the car fairly hard. No heat issues.

As of now i have Gorilla tuning which has 612AWHP on EU98/US93 which resulted in 11.1 qtr. at 205km/h (ordinary tarmac and tyres). However Renntech is preparing something special for me as they seem to be the only tuner now who managed to decrypt ECU power restriction in new 4-matik.

11.1, 11.2 qtr?? The rwd cars tuned do that. I figured an AWD car would b a 10 sec car with a tune since I'd imagine it cuts a better 60 foot time

It is all about hook up.
On the Drag strip the RWD cars get better speeds when you hook up right.
AWD cars are heavier and have more rotation mass. HP being the same RWD are faster.
At the strip the AWD cars are super easy to drive, actually boringly repeatable times. My CLS 63 is worthless at the strip with street tires. Last time My CLS ran a 12.5 @ 128 mph.

11.1 qtr.
As was reasonably mentioned above it depends on the surface you drag. 11,1 qtr. as written was made in Moscow in autumn at +10C and on ordinary road (not a drag strip) with ESP blinking. For your information no RWD car was even close to that, incl. 820hp CLS which managed to hit only 11.4 as the best result on Toyo 888.

Well, is it on ordinary 0% road? I am judging by what we have on Moscow Unlim - the best result in GT class was set by Audi RS6 Sportmile 950hp which with AWD showed 10.9 qtr. and 27.0 on 1 mile at 313km/h. RWD CLS63 Gorilla 820hp had a better trap speed of 322km/h (record in GT class) but managed only 11.4 qtr. on Toyo888, not PSS which is mediocre for drag. Hence should your time 10.9 be set on a drag strip - i could believe, if on ordinary road on PSS, you should have ca. 900hp and be very talented launcher.

I'm talking a tune only car not dp's and turbo upgrade.
A tuned AWD car and a tuned rwd , would the AWD car not have a quicker E.T. Or at least b more consistent then a rwd car? I get that a rwd car may trap faster, and may dead hook, but in general... Also in day to day driving I imagine the AWD version is "quicker" in general in stoplight battles, and powering out of owners and on ramps, since its putting the power down better then rwd and not getting sideways as quick, no?
