Air Box Cover Crack
I have a w212 E63 2011 and I opened the hood the other day, because who doesn't want to look at that monster. I noticed a crack in the pannel of the airbox cover near the mercedes emblem. I have no earthy idea how this could have happend as the box itself has no stress on it 
. I just had an A service at the dealership and my first thought was maybe one of the technicians cracked it somehow.
Any info would be great...

These things happen and its just a cover I wouldn't bother replacing it unless its going to be in the back of your mind and make you an insomniac.
or contact the dealer you got your car serviced from and demand for them to replace it.

Here is the picture of it. Its really not that bad and I will talk to them next time I take it in. I just was wondering if anyone else had the same problem or was it unique to me.

I would be putting in a bad complaint on the dealership and would make a fuss about it so they don't do it again.
Its never happened to me but in saying that they have lost 3 engine cover clips on me before... and blamed it on the engine vibrations losing them even though before I gave the car to them I had all the 6 clips in.
