looking for heated steering wheel for 212

I love the heated steering wheel on my BMW but now I notice non of the e63 has this option. 2007 and 2010 e63 do not have it.. I am looking at 2012s E63 and no heated steering wheel...
is there a way to add this?
Hope come this is not an option...
I would give up heated seats for the steering wheel

Non AMG E 212 can be optioned with a heated steering wheel. Issue is, the styling of the heated wheel is not aggressive/sporty and MB has never bothered developing a sports steering wheel with the heating function. The heated wheel **can** be retrofitted but you will lose the sporty character of the AMG wheel.

This is what the heated one looks like for the E Class (but it's all leather and no wood on top or bottom):

+1.

Heated wheel, heated rear seats, folding mirrors are gaping holes in that car.

I've never in my life seen so much complaining in one car forum.

For $100K, you get supercar (SUPERCAR!) performance, and yet everyone wants to complain about every little thing.

But an S63... it probably has all the things you guys want in a car. Including a price tag to reflect that fact.

ACE for a 110K car it should have folding mirrors

heated steering wheel and the little things we like.
Hell The M cars have these options and not like MB have to go and make the the parts. They have them on the euro cars.

Tell me, how much does a 2014 E63 S cost in the EU?

I wouldn't keep a BMW if you gave it to me... where's the AWD on the M5. It's so expensive and can't be used for four months of the year. BMW should put AWD on their M cars... it's not like they have to go and make the parts.

E63S has supercar performance for $100K. I personally like stepping on the skinny pedal and knowing that the car is quicker than just about every other car on the road. That's what I like.

Some of us want a little extra luxury in our "supercar performance" cars. There's nothing wrong with wanting a heated steering wheel or power folding mirrors. Luckily these things can be added in after the fact ;] I'll be doing the power folding mirrors on my E63S along with a few other options we don't get here so I can end up having my cake and eating it too.

Don't know if I'd add the heated wheel, though, simply because it's not sport styling.

Yes, you're right the S63 has all features we want and it also costs significantly more- especially if fully optioned.

But you still have the clown face steering wheel in the S63 sedan. On the other hand, the S63 coupe truly has everything...but at the same time it's missing two extra doors. LOL

Ours come as S and RWD standard, 4Matic not available in RHD market.
Pano roof etc included.

Little in the way of desirable options except 5 twin spoke wheels.

Are you seated?

$250000AUD for E63 AMG S. ($1USD = 92c Aus)

About 70K is luxury car tax (30% on cars above $57000) and Goods and Services Tax (10%)

Crazy. That's why us in the US need to stop complaining about not having certain available options.

This turned out to be a nice post

I like my RWD in an AMG ...some want AWD.. Its a choice. I drive my car in 4" of snow if I had to and do. I have a second ride for DD and if need I have an AWD for snow and bad weather.
When its cold out and no snow it would be nice to drive with heater wheel in the sport style. Its just an option then we shoud have if we wanted.
If I lived in Alaska I would want AWD but I dont...
most of my AMG guys want the RWD just for the burnout parking lot fun factor...

It is odd that in that in 2014 it doesn't come with a heated steering wheel? Some caddy's come with a heated & Cooled steering wheels. (I know the S does)
My guess is eventually it will come on an E.
I remember in early 2000 when a MB didn't have auto headlights, and it seemed every other manufacturer had it?

S does not have a cooled steering wheel.

It may come, it may not come. It just depends if MB ever wants to develop a sports heated wheel.
