Learning to drag race the '12 E63 wagon
Thought it would be fun to baseline the E63 and see what it runs completely stock (incl. the crappy Conti SportContacts).
1st run I just spun through 1 and 2. Not much burnout.
2nd run I did a thorough burnout and still spun in 2nd.
3rd run lowered the rear tires to 30 psi from 45 (!). Hooked, Ran a 12.06@117
4th run, waiting for later when the air cooled off, did a good burnout, put the RPM at 2000rpm before dropping the brakes. Ran a Z06 and launched well, then stayed at least 20-40 ft in front of the Z. Ran a 12.03 @117 w/ a 1.93 60.
There's a stock 11 in it somewhere.

I love how stunned people were at the wagon's times.
The track seemed very slick to other people, though it was quite the cast of amateurs. I didn't see a street-tire car run a single 11, though apparent the Dodge SRT (Grand Cherokee) that was there with a crew of its own ran an 11@136 while I wasn't looking. Lots of Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, etc running 13s and a few Corvettes running high 12s.

Since I didn't go intending to race, it was funny to notice that there was a bunch of stuff in the way-way back including my gym stuff, a boxed PS4 that needs repair, a stroller, etc.
Its funny how little they pay attention to wagons on street tires at tech and at the timing booth. I once took 3 people down the strip in low 13s in a Volvo. No one said a thing (it was Texas, FWIW).
