exhaust tips
Good day gang.
Keep admiring all the great pics of your cars.
Can't help but notice the gleaming chrome exhaust tips.
Wondering what the secret is to keeping them clean. In particular the areas on the inside leading edges that I cannot figure out how to get the black soot off of.
Thanks in advance

Liquid Brasso if they are real dirty, will knock the inside and outside soot off.

I second P21! MAGIC. this stuff is phenomenal. Apply before you start washing the whole car, wash off with the whole car when you're wrapping up and they'll look like new!

I use turtle wax chrome polish -- works well -- I start with soap and water, then use a new microfiber rag (disposable) with the chrome polish and this does a nice job -- an old toothbrush with polish to get the crevices.

Thanks gents. Had to use a little steel wool as it was caked on but almost back to new.

So do you apply the mother's polish to the steel wool and then go to town? Then repeat the process but a microfiber?

i actually used Brillo to start. The steel wool and cleaner in em (Ajax, basically) does wonders. Get all the carbon and residue off, THEN use the Mother’s with a microfiber. Happy cleaning!! Post pics when you’re done!
