comfort mode vibration.
Good day gents.
Once in a while when the wife drives the E she has complained of the car vibrating /shaking.
Turns out she drives it in comfort mode and some times at low speeds when the car is in the low rpm range and slightly under load (like up a hill) the vibration of the low gear shakes and rattles the whole car.
Of course this stops as soon as the car downshift.
Anyone else experience this?
Kind of like the feeling of driving a manual car right before it is about to stall.

I get some shakes and shutters as the clutch engages, but generally only when the tranny is cold. This is exacerbated by comfort mode due to starting in 2nd gear. A simple **** to sport or sport + seems to rectify the situation.

I'm having the exact same thing -- apparently this IS normal for this MCT.
It is a much more brief/subtle vibration in S or S+ mode, but very evident in Comfort and not all the time, periodically and mostly when cold when accelerating from a stop, then randomly when accelerating from a stop when the engine is warm.

here's my thread on this very issue, I got a surprisingly few replies for how many people peruse this forum and have E63's with MCT's... even went to the C and CLS forums (AMG) to ask about the MCT behavior and no one responded... oh well
