The specs you listed below were for my old 2011 E350 so you do not want to use that spec. for your E63. The reason I had to add spacers was for that exact reason the specs you've listed does not sit flush with the fenders.

You want to get new wheels with the following specs.:

20x9+32mm
20x10.5+42mm

This way you do not need spacers which is what I recommend.

Tires, I just purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport ( PSS ) with the tire specs you've listed above however I would recommend lowering it since it will sit on low profile tires as listed and the gaps will look out of place ( to me ).

Good luck and feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
I got your PM. Sorry I though you were talking about the wheels/tires for my E63 setup. If to for a E350. Your mentioned setup for my old E350 is the best way to go. You will love it better with H&R sport springs lowered that has not rubbing or need fender rolling. Good luck with her.

I should change the subject to more than $30,000 later, but happy to report I just got the AMS Alpha 9 full tune. Now this is how AMG should of made it out of the factory. For those that are thinking of going that route, do not hesitate. It is a rocket.

Hey guys, any install the TCU upgrade from Weistec 722.9 Valve Body ?

If so your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Did it improve the throttle lag of the line?

Many thanks.

I would say a 20% increase from stop to 40mph, from 40mph and onwards, it's a rocket. The car pulls really hard on the mid to high range. Just hope the transmission was more in line with the M6 so wanted to know if the TCU tune would help my E63?

My AMS tuned car is currently at the shop getting the Weistec TCU mod as well as the larger oil pan. Should be ready on Tuesday and will report after driving the car.

Thanks Jose. Having my fingers cross that will eliminate at lease 50% of the throttle lag of the line. Looking forward to your review.

As far as I know, AMS does not have any TCU mods. My local tune shop is installing the Weistec TCU mod for me. The shop is a dealer for both AMS and Weistec.

Really wish AMS did an upgrade on the TCU. That would have been my first choice. Really like the throttle responds on the M6 and hope a TCU upgrade will do the trick. Crossing my fingers.

Is this a transmission valve body mod, or an actual transmission computer modification?

It's the actual valve body. Here is the link I am looking at:

https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...150907182.html

I'm looking forward to Joseyu or anyone was has this upgrade and their assessment of it.

Many thanks.

Its a combination of a valve body mod as well as some electronics.

i dont think this is going to help with the off the line acceleration as that is the torque limits that MB has embedded in the ecu/tcu that no tuner has found a way around yet that i have heard of yet...

this valve body upgrade will just change time between shifts... not engagement from a stop

So if that was the case, wouldn't one think it's faster shifts between gears i.e. 1 to 2 gears and so forth make it respond faster of the line?

What would be the benefit for this TCU upgrade ?

Hope to hear something positive from Joseyu when he gets his car back from this upgrade or I would be disappointed.

No the response off the line is partially wet clutch engagement and partial torque limiting from Ecu.... Once the car is going then yes, shift from 1st to 2nd and so forth will be faster but I think that 1/2 second of hesitation from standstill will not be eliminated and that's what's killing 0-60 ft times ( which is all in 1st gear so faster shifting times is not relevant to that point )

Thanks. If that was the case, at lease I will be getting a faster 0-60 or 1/4 miles time which is my intention although the lag from start is kinda annoying and hopefully with the TCU upgrade will help even the slightest bit.
