I told you guys.... The Bluetooth is weak... The proprietary cable is much better audio transport

Just trying to understand....on my 2012, I just need to buy the APPLE BRAND 30 pin to lightening adapter? Is there on MB Proprietary lightening plug (sounds like it only works on the 2014 to 2015)?

Only 2014+ has this Benz to lightning cable... Will work the same as the 30 to lightning on your 2012

Can someone advise regarding 2012 C250. Will this cable work with it? If not will the Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter used on the iPhone 4 media interface let you control iPhone 6 like it does iPhone 4? Can it play sound from apps, video etc from iPhone 6?

Ok, I tried the 30 pin to lighting cable on my E63 W212 2010. Can I use this new cable for my iphone 6s? Or what are you all using for 2010's and older?

I purchased the Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter cable.
I only stream music (no music stored on phone) but am unable to do so with this configuration. PeterUbers, can you stream music (pandora, amazon, etc) via this mercedes cable?

You can stream audio from your phone via the cable, not bluetooth....

In the 2014 E63S we got several cables with the car, one of which is a short version of the USB to Lightning cable you get from Apple with the iPhone. You can just plug the Apple cable in the USB port. I also now have a 2015 S65. I just plug the Apple Lighning cable in the USB port in the console, the phone shows in Comand and I have full control of the music on the phone from Comand. It also charges the phone. I see no reason to buy an MB branded cable or a 30 pin to Lighning adapter.
If the white color is objectionable black Lighning cables are available from monoprice.com in several different lengths.

Again, referring to a thread we have going about bells and whistles on these cars for the money we pay. Sorry but a $100K to a $250k car should have a bluetooth system that works, or a USB system to accept any cable, there are only a few phone manufacturers out there using 3 OSs and 3 cable plug types.
Someone at MB's audio/infotainmant department should be fired or sent out into the real world to see what people want. Kia, Hyundai, Ford, GM, Tesla, etc all are cheaper cars by far but yet seem to be able to stream music, or have an aux jack that controls their phone, shows the title of the song, pic of the album being played etc.
Sorry, I am not asking much, when I drop a $108K on a car for it to have the creature comforts as say a $12,000 Chevy. I want it, Yes I am buy and AMG for it power and superness, but I should get the baby bells and whistles that the cars under me in price are getting, no?

And re seat that plug
Are you showing us the Benz side of the plug in the pic --- it has a lightening side right?
Sometimes a bad cable will do that

I haven't tried a hard reset, I will try that.
I did unplug and replug it a few times, that didn't help. (it did on the iphone pop up a warning asking if I wanted to Allow or Not Allow this connection - I always pressed allow)

This is a brand new cable, I just ordered.
