Guys, after my wife took the car for the night, the scroll wheel stopped working. When you rotate the wheel, nothing happens on the screen. You can only push up and down or left and right. Not really conveniant.

I have checked all setting in the menus and haven't found anything.

Any ideas?

Same exact thing just happened to me about 2 months ago. Fortunately it was just before factory warranty ended. As another poster said and was correct, you will need to replace it.

Is this on the new s65?

If yes, that is effed up! At least mine waited almost 4 years to die. And you would think they would have bettered the design by now.

V. Happy to hear you got it replaced on waranty before the factory waranty expired.

I'm afraid the S65 does have the rotary stick. Warranty waranty waranty. Don't own a Mercedes without it.

You are right. Need to get it replaced. Dealer quoted me $570 which is crazy.

Anyone have part number for the scroll wheel? I might try and find it online.

I've read about this happening a few times. Try searching the regular W212 forum. Some of the experts (I'm thinking konigstiger) may be able to give you the correct part # with a VIN.
