What is the consensus of the extended warranty? I'm coming up on 30k miles so it's time for me to shop around.

I would check out the thread in the forum which discusses warranties. They also have vendor options and pricing discussions there. Personally, I want to keep my E63 so I purchased the 7 year $100K warranty from MB. I called my local dealer for a quote and the price was ridiculous so I shopped around decided on Jamie at MB Elmwood in Wisconsin and it was $1800's less than I was offered locally from my dealer. I negotiated everything over the internet and when I took my Benz for service locally my SA was happy I purchased it as it means they will continue to get my service business.
