lol! It does seem you could put a wider tire to totally protect your lip.
But my guess is you have too aggressive offsets in the rear. Did you buy the wheels from a vendor?
What are the offsets?

the before looks like you are trying to do hellaflush, which doesnt look correct on an AMG.... but honda civic sure... the after isnt as bad, but still looks a little stretched

Yeah, actually got them from need4speed motorsports in California, and they swore the 285/25 was perfect for this wheel...lol. tire shop had to put 110lbs of air to get it to seat on the wheel, I don't think it's perfect. I picked these tires up off a member on here, the size is discontinued and I got them for a hell of a price. I'm not sure if I could go any wider as its already close to the rear fender liner. Wheels in the rear are 20x10.5 42et

I don't recall the OEM offset for the E63 but I think ET45 would have been better for that wheel size.
I don't know what was your communication with Needforspeed but obviously they tricked you which is a shame from a vendor here !
I would call them and show pictures. Maybe they will be willing to send you proper rears! Because looks like these ones need at least 305 tires!

I apologize, I was wrong after going and checking the invoice.

It doesn't matter. The rear wheels are sticking out too much by 5 to 10mm.
How is the clearance on the inner well?

I would say maybe an inch or two at the closest point

Does anyone know what service 1 and 3 consist of? i believe 3 is an oil change, may be wrong.

Drove the car around 800 miles this past weekend to the AMG PL meet, had a great time. Took the car out about 600 miles the weekend before and it did awesome both times. Just rolled over 7,700 miles with the car. Still loving it

You sure did!!! I can attest to your statement. Wow, I didn't expect to meet someone from here at the PL meet. Good to put a face to name and meet your friend. When I turned and noticed your rims with overstretched tires and missing roof rack tab, everything all clicked. So which car did you choose for the "Hot Lap?" It's too bad they wouldn't let you do the autocross.

I was glad I went to put things back in my car while waiting, and my love for the pre-facelifted one led me to look at your car when walking back. Hope to see you again there next year!

Its really just check lots of things. The important things are the oil changes which are no different than any other car really and the transmission fluid changes. I believe they are supposed to be every 40000 miles.

Lol! In search of a daily driver desperately. I hope this car remains reliable, I'd like to pay it off and keep it. Only downside to the car is I worry about parking it certain places... people around here don't give a s*** about other people's vehicles... I guess that goes for anywhere

If I were you, I would stop worrying about that. I used to worry about it, now I've given up. My car has some nice scrapes on the bumper where someone hit it. My wifes car got scrapes on the bumper Saturday night while we were at Longhorn. Everytime I look at my car there is another scratch on it somewhere and my wife wonders why I don't bother washing it. And I'm actually real careful about where I park. I've given up parking at the end of the parking lot though because without fail, 2 other cars will come and park on either side of you.

+1 Same here. However, I still park far away from other cars to send the message of not wanting others to park next to me when there are ample spaces all around me. It's also for bigger space to open the doors. Overall, I still do my best but just don't sweat it when there are some scratches or dings on the car. At COTA, I'm sure everyone saw the windshield and front of my car was completely covered with bugs from the drive to get there.
Look at it this way: This is a mass-produced car is in no way a collector's car so just drive it and enjoy it. When we kick the bucket one day and close our eyes, we sure wouldn't care what our cars look like.

I guess as time goes by i will get more comfortable with the car, and it possibly getting hit.

On a side note, not sure what i want to do to the car next. I want to lower it, but i dont want to have a s*** riding vehicle. I also want a carbon fiber front and rear diffuser, but kind of worried about them getting ripped off (front one mainly)

Got some pics of the underside of the car while i was changing the oil. Looks pretty clean to me for 110k miles.

Also are some pics of my rear fitment. Does it look out of line for an e63?

Pretty sure this alternator issue is back again.... While driving down the road, mine is around 12.5v. if i stay in the throttle ever so lightly (interstate driving, etc) it will stick at 13.0-13.3v. when coasting, it drops to 12.4v or so then shoots back up to 14.8v. Accelerating, 12.5 or so. When i shut the car off, usually overnight, it will be around 11.9-12.2 when i return. Maybe i just need a whole new alternator?

Have the engine looked at for the head bolt issue. I had the dealer check mine, pressure checked, oiled plugs, etc. Mine is fine with 56k on the clock (knock on wood). Front rotors ($1200 each) pads, ride control, fluids, maintenance records, # of owners, etc. Just do your due diligence. Fun Fun Fun car to drive and a great sleeper.

Good luck.

That sounds pretty normal. Mine is usually 11.9 when I go to start.

Well that's comforting to hear.

So somebody backed into the car today and didn't leave a note or anything... gotta love people. Luckily, it wasn't too bad. Front bumper, maybe a spot a little larger than a post-it note. Scraped the clear bra but didn't even phase the bumper i dont believe. What bothers me is it hit the headlight washer door and knocked it out of line. I kind of got it back in place but not perfect. Maybe it's time to have this clear bra removed.

On a side note, today marks 10,000 miles since i got the car 1/17. It's been awesome, loved every second of it. I need to change my brake and PS fluid soon, and I suppose get the transmission service done at 120k.

Is there any type of COMAND upgrade or map upgrade available? i feel as if mine is dated.

As soon as i wear out these front tires i believe ill bump up to a 255/30/20 instead of the 245. I cannot stand the stretched look. It bothers me on a daily basis. I'm torn between going back with the 295/25/20 rear in a michelin PSS down the road or the 285/30/20.

Also undecided on whether i want to lower it a little bit or not. I would have to do it myself since there isn't even a Mercedes dealer within 100 miles, much less a shop that does aftermarket work on one. I also don't want to lose much ride quality. I may be moving to Charleston, SC for work, maybe the roads are better there than Louisiana

Other than that i just plan to do the ROW boxes and maybe some little cosmetic mods like LED's and the AMG door pins. I'd like to do full exhaust and a tune but that's out of my budget at the moment

Yes there is a map update. I purchased a new one through an ebay dealer last year. It took about 2 hours to load the update with the engine running so not to kill the battery or have anything go to sleep on me while the update was installing.

Jump buy the map update from like e-bay, then resell it, it can be used more than once.

2 hours?! Man, that's a crazy long time!

I have always thought if that is possible. Someone mentioned before each disk can only be used once but I really don't see how that's possible, either. At the same time, I'm sure the manufacturer would try to find a way to prevent a disk from being passed around. Hmm...
