changing the cabin air filter?

Does anyone have a youtube video on how to change the filter? I think it is behind the glove box?

I saw some instructions somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where. Its under the glove box. Not too difficult, I have to do mine soon, my son is sick of the car smelling like magic marker whenever it rains.

EDIT https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...lter-w212.html

Thats one, but I saw one with pictures somewhere.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
The process is well known to be quite a PITA.

oo, thanks for the reminder. I should really just do it for the sake of doing it. doubt the dealers did it doing their sales flips.

I did it last summer. I had a nasty smell on hot days in the cabin. It solved the problem. Which was a bit surprising because the filter did not look that bad and I could not detect any smell to it.

It is pretty straight forward to swap. I found the instructions on this website. Search my posts (cuz I posted the same question last summer) and you should find it.

BTW, be careful of a little 2-wire connector on the left side of that panel liner that get pulled down and out of the way. It is really flimsy. Not sure what it goes to as it I don't think its a light. Mine came apart, and I'm not sure I got it back together correctly. I haven't noticed anything malfunctioning though.

The whole job only took about 15 minutes max and a trip to the chiropractor! Getting too old to climb around in floor boards.

Good Luck.
