2010 E63 help with driver's seat
Hello,
I have a 2010 E63, I am very happy with the car. My wife is terrorized with it, not because of my driving but rather to the fact that it has all these new electronic gadgets and the driver's seat. We are both senior citizens, she was happy with models such as the 190E, 320, 500E or S600C but not with this one.
She is not too petit but has trouble seeing over the dashboard even with the seat all the way up. If we can solve this problem she would try to drive it, it is the only car we have and I probably made a mistake buying it.
Would it be possible to weld some kind of shims to the seat rails? There are no car safety or emissions inspections in Florida but only our safety.
Any suggestions?

Hi Horacio. It's sounds like you've had a number of Benz cars so I'm sure you are familiar with the seat adjustments. But just for myself, can you explain how you are adjusting the seat all the way up?
I would not suggest welding anything in regards to the seats.
I was used to big trucks before I bought my '10 E63 and I was able to adjust the seat to my liking.

For my wife she adjusts the seat cushion angle, height and fore/aft adjust. I have no problems with my seat adjustment.
Take a look at other cars when driving, you will notice that many people cannot see above the steering wheel, it doesn't bother them by it bothers my wife, she needs to feel more in control of the car.
We did not try the multicontour seat.
