there are a couple of E63 Bi-Turbo's in the area and comparing both cars - put together a quick spreadsheet...

green means one car has an option the other doesn't have
yellow means similar options on each car

the 2012 costs $53k looks to have more options (including P30) - but 48k on it
the 2013 costs $65k but is less featured, but has the locking diff - only 25k miles

thoughts? anything that either car that jumps out as 'must have'?

if u are tuning the car, the P30 is obsolete

if u are not tuning, it still is sorta obsolete unless u are planning on driving faster than 155 -186mph, which the other is limited

whats the sun protection package?

new car still has more warrenty??

I'll most likely tune - so power is a non issue, but P30 gives you other subtleties - like sport suspension, engine cover, steering wheel, and red calipers (which I like)

dunno about the sun protection package

I think $12k is about 3x the cost of a stout warranty

u have sport suspension in the regular one, in the p30, its turned up a notch a bit, when i got my car i couldnt tell the difference between the 2 non p30 and the p30

honestly, i never use sport plus cuz its bumpy as f

at the end of the day i still got P30 though, LOL

limited slip would be nice, and the '13 looks like it has parktronic? but the '12 doesnt?

I really like the parking sensors in my E55

but I guess I could upgrade while saving $12k :noes:

double check if the partronic is actually the park it by itself parktronic, the E class got jibbed, but the cls got it, i think....E class wont part it self, just point arrows randomly

if u cant park yourself your a tool anyways

if either car has the adaptive cruise and or adaptive lane change etc, those are actually pretty good safety features

I have heard that '13 has the split cooling system and '12 doesn't. Anyway, it's a tough choice.

I would go with the 2013, but not necessarily the one your looking at now.

It is a matter of opinion, but I would get the 2013 with P30 and LSD. The P30 does come with some cosmetic upgrades even if you are tuning it that I like. The 2013 does come with the Parktronic with driver's assist that parks itself although I would never use it and I know my wife is too scare to use it on the S65. It is a cool feature to show friends just like the night vision that I also don't use. I believe the sun shade protection is for the rear side windows which you need to pull up manually and clip, which my daughter loves when she is looking at her iPad or sleeping.

There are lots of either 2012-2013 CPOs around, just be patient because your going to be tuning it and driving it for a while. Be sure to buy the extended warranty though.
