I have a public service announcement. A test-fit revealed that the AMG Monoblocks do not fit in the 18" flavor... the rears won't clear the calipers (see image below) and the fronts touch the backing plates. So if you're thinking of going this route, you have to find a set of 19" wheels.

Which is close to impossible. But I did. :naughty:

Will post another update once I have test-fitted those.

I also came from Audi and because Audi won't bring their RS wagons here, I ALSO ended up with a E63 wagon.

I'm also located in the SF Bay Area. :-)

Also switched from Audi and located in SF. I think SF bay area must have the highest per capita of E63 wagons in the country. I feel like I see them once per year in other parts of the country, but almost once per week in San Francisco.

Good info. The OEM w212 AMG 18" rims will fit the rear.

You going to sell your stock old wheels? I could use a set for track tires.

I am planning to, yes. I currently have someone who is interested in them... I should know by the end of the weekend if he'll take them. If not, you have next dibs. :y

Also, since there are so many of us with wagons in the Bay Area, I really think we should get together for a drive. How fun would that be? (and terrifying for everything else on the road) :D

The Hre wheels look great . I would keep them the old AMg monoblock wheels are nice but just too old looking for the new of a car . I had AMG monoblocks on my c36 so long ago .
And I doubt you can find the correct size and Straight wheels

good luck car looks great

@sjb - Don't listen to this! Stay on target. The monoblocks are timeless.

Haha... thanks for the feedback everyone. Yes, I am definitely staying on target... and I have some thoughts about what to do with the Monoblocks. I'll just leave this here. :naughty:

Update: Decided to pull the trigger on a full RENNtech tune this morning. I'm super excited and can't wait to report back. :)

And here is some post-tune highway on-ramp merging (in Mexico, in the late 80's, at dawn, on a closed course, with a professional driver).

Should have them mounted by the weekend.

Nice! Look forward to seeing them on your wagon. From the picture, it looks like these are the 295/30/19 Pilot SS for the rear...correct?
