ive been to HRE factory and they have these big *** boxes, bubble wrap etc etc

This is a cast (flow formed) set. This wheel missed QC completely. No foam around the lip and no cloth "condom". I highly doubt either would have protected it.

My previous HREs were foam packed on all sides, rim protectors, face protection etc. An HRE box is how this is being sent back actually.

With the ways packages are thrown and abused during transit, it wouldn't be a surprise if that's how they pack wheels. You better take your other seemingly intact wheels to an x-ray machine to check for micro fractures.

This is definitely not Vorsteiners fault.
Looks like this wheel was on display somewhere and got repackaged.

And was this UPS or FedEx?
I see this all day long coming from UPS....
