Just did the DVD in Motion, Awesome!!!
I installed it mainly to use the Nav feature while rolling. The company I purchased it from was quick, and the software was sent immediately after payment. Installation was quick and painless.
No ripping apart the dash to install the bypass box, it just does in as a CD-R or a DVD-R.
I don't know if the company is a vendor here so, IM me for the company's info. It was $199. for the software.

Not being able to enter destinations on the fly (something I could do in my 2007 Honda) was really irritating. Thanks for sharing this great solution!

Yeah it was not watching videos it was when I was rolling 5 mph in traffic and not being able to use the keypad.
The voice commands works well, but not well enough.
One of the best few bucks I have spent on this car!!

Will it allow me to read an entire text message or will I still have to have it read aloud?

Where does the USB device plug into? Do I need a certain type of USB to do the second half of the initial update after the DVD is inserted? That video didn't show where he inserted the USB.

So you need to keep the USB drive in for this to work or you just plug in the USB stick during the unlock process and you are done with the USB stick?
thanks

You can use any standard USB and it gets plugged into the center armrest during the installation process. More info can be found on BimmerGuru's website
EDIT: Just spoke with Lucie from DVD In Motion (Very Nice), and she said that 2010 models do NOT need the USB step to unlock video in motion. Hopefully this is good reference for some of us pre-facelift guys.

That's right, the USB is only used during the unlocking process. Once done you remove it and the unit stays unlocked

My 2010 E63 doesn't have a USB slot in the armrest, it has the media register USB in the glove box and a wide slot in the dash below the power button / knob that isn't anything I've ever recognized. Any input here?

Yep, glad to hear that. I ordered the software this morning and just received it only to realize my new Macbook Pro doesn't have a disc drive, so waiting for a buddy's PC later on to do the burn and update.
