Here are come pictures with stock 19's and aftermarket 20's on my car. The KW front springs have about 3/4" of thread left to lower it more if I wanted.

Looks great! 20's really complete the look. If I keep this thing, def going the 20" route. Which do you have? that color is really cool on the black.

Two more pictures of car lowered with stock wheels. Car lowered on KW springs and Renntech DLM. 10mm spacers in the front, 15 mm spacers in the rear.

Is the ride any different with the spacers? some have reported shaking or other issues with spacers.

I've seen posts of others discussing it; not sure if it's been done yet on a w212 amg.

No; I'm happy with them. Was aware before installing that they may degrade ride/drive quality, according to others' posts, and would have removed them if so, but all good. Buy a quality set, and get the proper length lugs, of course, if you go this route.

I've taken it to the strip several times and drive in a 'spirited manner' every day, with no issues post-lowering and spacing install.

No worries, thanks. I'm assuming no rubbing with that set up.

Just one last question, do you have the part number? H&R website doesn't show an E63 application.

I don't, unfortunately. I sourced all of this stuff from Golan at Autotalent; I'm sure they'd be happy to help you figure out part numbers for the spacers and bolts.

Only MBs - the best or nothing

The part numbers are the same as for all CLS (AMG and non-AMG) and for non-AMG E (for some reason they list only E350, but the parts fit E550 and E63).
For the 10mm front - 20556659, for the 15mm rear - 3055665. The difference between "front" and "rear" is that the front spacers have a completely different design due to MB's front dust caps. (For vehicles without front dust caps, same spacers are use for front and rear - without 9 as the last digit in a part number).

Lowering links

Hey chris, i took your advice in buying lowering links. It arrived in the mail today. Im installing it tomorrow. Do u know of a video that can guide me thru it. Im scared of messing up the self leveling suspension on the e63. Thanks again

I've not seen a video, you literally just pop the stock one piece links off, adjust the aftermarket links and pop them on the ball joints. Longer is higher, shorter is lower. Drive the car around for about 5 minutes to let it settle and adjust them as needed. They should have come with an instruction sheet, if not you can find on on KW's website. I think it's in German but the pictures are all you need.

Hey guys, only just found this thread and the rear links are something I'm considering doing with mine.

Would it affect the headlamp adjustment on the ILS lights, or would they compensate automatically for the lowering?

Are there any performance benefits to changing out front springs besides lowering height? I figured the amg suspension should be adequately tuned.

My headlights have adjusted and throw at the same height as before.

Well, it lowers the center of gravity and the KW adjustable springs I use are just a tiny bit stiffer and I feel the make the car handle a bit better.

Glad it all worked out for you brother. Looks great as it sits currently.

Ride around for a few weeks to make sure it's comfortable and there's no rubbing before making any adjustments. Even though the rear is supposed to self adjust for added weight I would get two adults back there and make sure it rides well at the current height.

Would 1 inch lowering make a difference to alter center of gravity? Stiffer springs sounds like less comfort.
