Oh okay, thank you
The current tune done by a tuning company sydney has ruined my engine a costing in $1900 repairs.
Going to reset to stock and get it re-tuned else where.
Will the car be okay to be driven with full exhaust without a tune?

yes of course . maximum you get is a check light, which will be erased. so don't worry.
Also, if you don't want to visit dealer, tuners usually have ready generic software ( modified stock) .
ps your E63 S has m157 engine not 156.

why return to stock?

Why not have tuner of your choice flash the ECU and save a trip to dealer.
I Had OE on my 6.3 and no issues. I had headers, cat delete with stock mufflers. BMC filters and gutted airbox and scope flaps removed.
Best exhaust note of all my AMGs.

Faz I'm intrigued...why do you say the tune ruined the motor? What did it actually do? ie, what damage was caused that would attribute it to the tune?

From what I understand the stock ECU is very safe (esp on an N/A motor) in that it retards 8 degree's of timing if it detects knock. I'm guessing your pistons are fine....curious as to what else the issue is.

I've got a full report on the car, I pick it up today i will post it up what they picked up to be the issue.
The car never ran out of fuel which i thought was the issue so did Benz, The car miss-fired again so they tested it again and it was only the Left side of the engine miss-firing, right side fine.
They proceeded to clean the injectors (incase they were clogged), and when they noticed the left side spark plugs completely ruined from running to Rich causing miss-fire.
When they changed the plugs i requested the car to be sent off to a near by Dyno (20miles away) where they tested the car which showed up the ECU tune being out of "wack(poorly tuned)", (have a result).
That clunking sound in the engine i was hearing was the car Miss-firing by the way which made me think i might've busted the Motor.

The shop that put the tune on I doubt would ever take responsibility but it is the same shop which added the weistec charger to my car which "blew" my power steering 3 times and ended up being they used old O rings which was causing this issue instead of replacing all the seals.

Now after spending $2100 on all this, The car is inspected, Stock tune back on the car I have to book it in to get properly tuned again from OE tuning this time as i've heard nothing but good by people.

Interesting......fouled plugs.

Good luck with the OE tune. Are you going to opt for a raised rev limit too? Part of me would like mine higher, but I'm scared about starving the rod bearings after sustained use up to 8000rpm.

I'm going to keep the rev limit as is...
Yupp fouled plugs due to a tuner not doing his job properly.
