Resonator Delete 6.2L N/A Engine - Before / After
Threw this together really quick for anyone considering a resonator delete on a 6.2L E63. Took out the center resonator and replaced it with straight pipes.
Wish I could record clips of the engine in action but the backfires / pops are probably the best part of this easy mod. They've increased drastically since taking the resonator out.

Yeah no, mine wasn't too far from that when it was stock. Over the last few months, the sound has just become a bit more tame, cold starts don't bark anymore and when i do those revs to show off to my friends like a goon, it doesn't have the same sound n pitch n pop like it used to. I'm sure mine is an isolated issue related to the throttle bodies, but i have no proof as of yet.
General tips/recommendations? Buy the revozport front lip n sides, lower it and apply 15mm spacers all over - your car will look as lovely as mine and your car will park harder than a mother f**ker
Performance-wise, just do what the C Class guys do...long tube headers with a tune, should see you around 50hp up and into low 12s on a normal day, high 11's on a good day.

Haha gotcha -- my next steps were to purchase carbon fiber trim and potentially powdercoat the brakes. I've never heard of Revozport but what are your thoughts on other third party suppliers (rwcarbon, jbspeed). Does fitment, quality vary drastically between these? I mean the price sure does..

Ahh man, I'd love to get the carbon fibre interior trim, but it's pretty much non-existent in RHD form for me.
rwcarbon and jbspeed have good reputations among the board. they are of course replica's but the fitment seems to be good enough for most people tbh. my preference on the revozport is that 1) it looks amazing, 2) nobody has it and 3) quality and fitment is oem standard, which really adds to the aura of this lovely car. The design of some of the lips that you can get of replicas are a bit....erm....hmmm........but each to their own.
