That's the problem with lots of insurance companies out there: Take your money and reassure you at the front, then when something happens they drag their feet and point out some fine prints amidst an ocean of fine prints. Of course, that's how insurance companies make money, right?!
Yeah you're right, my local MB dealer offered me Fidelity, are they any good?

As most of you know, I've recently acquired a 2012 e63 with 51k miles and I'm in love so far! I plan to own this car for a long time as well as daily drive the car. The warranty I purchased covers the car for an additional 4 years or 100k miles.
What are are some of your experiences with the e63 bi-turbo in terms of reliablity? Also, what would you recommend having replaced before the warranty runs out?
Thanks in advance!

- Pano Roof Creaking - Bolts tightened
- whistling noise from grill fixed
- Overhead Console Rattle fixed
- transmission software updated
- Rotors and Pads replaced under Warranty at 19K Miles
Daily Driver, has been a lot of fun, and other than the above relatively minor things, has been bullet proof. Will change all rotors, pads next week.

Have 6-year 125K Miles extended warranty. Typically will keep cars for about 4 years, but no more than 150K miles. Will decide in the next one year or so once I hit 125K miles, and depending on whether any major issues crop up before then.

2008 E350 4Matic, 2011 E350 4matic
Fidelity gets decent ratings, but the MB warranty is the best. Sounds like you probably don't qualify for it though as it's only from an MB dealer that offers CPO. Also some of the problems mentioned like the pano roof bolts are a common problem in the whole lineup. My E350 has the same problem. Control knob breaking is also common, you can get a $50 DIY part to fix it, pay $200 for the MB part or go to the dealer and pay $500 to get it fixed. Airmatic and brakes are two expensive items, the rotors are much cheaper on the E350/E550.

90K miles!!!...I bet you have spent lots of time on the highway. How have you managed to rack up so much miles? You definitely wouldn't have problem hitting 125K miles way before 6-years period if you keep on driving like this. I thought warranty doesn't cover rotors and pads.

Replace them with GiroDisc which are better and you only need to buy the rotors afterward. Plus they are only $1050/pair even if you pay at the listed price.

I am experiencing something similar at speeds above 50-60mph.
Thanks!

For me, it was easy. Just told my dealership that I was getting the noise and they were the ones that diagnosed where it was coming from. Seemed like it was something that was common knowledge, at least to my dealership.

Appreciate the feedback - am planning on a short list of things (this being the primary) I'll have my dealer look at.
