Is that the factory mount? Any chance you can me a side shot? I’d love to mount it without drilling the bumper, some double side tape or something
Side shot. I am not sure if this is OE. I sorta doubt it. I am the second owner of this car and I know it came from CA. They must have installed this in NJ (where I bought it. Not MB dealership).

Not that this applies to me any more, but this is def. interesting. Thanks for posting this. Although, on the face lift w212... I don't see where we can stick a normal sized license plate decal. It says you can get a custom size one... I wonder if we can do a European style plate decal for the front... that would fit right in!

Only “quirk” is the badging. The original owner had all the badges removed, then while we were negotiating, he said he’d have the liftgate ones reinstalled. He failed to mention that he was hiring Stevie Wonder to do the job, LOL. They are not in the correct spots... at all. The AMG one is ok-ish (maybe tad crooked?), but the E63 is way off.
Would anyone with factory badging help me out and give me a measurements or some reference template of where they need to go. I’ll be ordering both trunk ones and both fender ones, but i dont know the correct locations. And i dont think you get anything to help locate them when you buy them, right?

My ‘new’ ‘14 Wagon
After dreaming for 4 years, searching for 10 months, and lurking on this site daily, I finally found my wagon. One owner with 31k miles from CT arrived home in Maine with summer tires just in time for the early snow. Mounted snows using my extra set of BBS CH and I’m ready for winter. Thanks to all those forum members who have provided pre-purchase and maintenance advice; it was crucial in being able to recognize and jump quickly when I found the perfect car. She joins a 2008 S4 avant (mt), 2000 Mcoupe ( supercharged) and my late father’s 1994 Audi s4 with rs2 conversion.
I too, regrettably, am leaving the wagon club - for now. Mrs wanted a cabriolet and we didn't need two family cars so off she went. Dang gonna miss that monster! Might get CPO'd here out of Charlotte, NC if anyone is looking. 2016 with 26k miles lunar blue over designo nut brown. Pretty much everything except distronic.

My '16 E63 Wagon replaced my 2007 Audi S4 Avant (6MT) and I miss it terribly. I should have kept it! Thankfully a friend in Boston bought it and it's well loved and cared for. Sure wish Audi would bring the RS6 to North America. Enjoy your new AMG!

Thanks! And I appreciate the reinforcement on the S4. thanks to Doug DeMuro and the overblown timing chain guide concerns (particularly for the B7) the values of the S4 Avant is unconscionably low. I convinced my wife to begrudgingly let me keep it for the time being. I figure spreading the miles across that and the AMG will be quite enjoyable. And I'm with you on the RS6. I hope that these rumors about the 2020 RS6 run turn out to be true!
