AMS/Alpha exhaust system long term thoughts?

AMS is overpriced, and it is not loud.
Go to any reputable muffler shop have them fabricate you a custom SS straight piped exhaust for much, much less. Or just replace the resonators in the rear with straight pipes for even less than that if you don't want something too loud.

DP's will do much more than catbacks. The problem is that to get the most out of DP's you should go catless, but going catless can lead to inspection issues and sometimes people will complain of the smell of gas. So unless you're willing to make those sacrifices then really your best bet would be to just stick with running a set of straight pipes in place of your resonator and calling it a day.
For the price, and the gains, catted downpipes really aren't worth it. I've also seen plenty of areas where owners aren't getting the gains they would've like to see out of catless DP's.
If you're like me, and want a little extra pep but wait to maintain those DD qualities and not have any headaches, the extent of "performance" modifications should look something like a tune and resonator delete on this car.
The advantage to the AMS catback comes in when you really have to open things up and have gone down the big turbo path or something like that. Otherwise you're kind of just throwing money away for nothing.
Removing the resonator will definitely be louder inside and outside, but much more outside bc the cabin is really well insulated. Much more turbo spool and crackling sounds on downshifts. Even more so if you have downpipes with res delete.
Since you have a AWD car I would not recommend turbo back down pipes. I would get the cat less ones.
Resonator delete?
Renntech mufflers?
Renntech muffler with resonator delete ?

On stock downpipes with cats in place.
If you had catless dps, then res delete that might get you more power with less restriction after the dps.
