So trying to replace pads and rotors on my 2011 e63. My vehicle has code B07 supposedly indicating ceramic brake system option but I have silver callipers and clearly have steel rotors... So what gives ? Any theories on this discrepancy? From what I can tell red or silver callipers is non ceramic it's just that equipment code throwing me off.. any expert thought ? Thanks in advance...

Assuming you aren't the previous owner, .....the previous owner swapped the ceramic setup for a conventional iron setup.

^ either that or whoever op bought it from was shady and fabricated the option sheet.. did you check the vin to make sure it actually came with B07?

the online parts warehouse i ordered from informed me of that, kind of assumed they would have the tool for that. i do have the original invoice and its not listed on there either. remember it being rather pricey, i'm sure they wouldn't forget
