2012 E63 noise and vibration from fan?
 

Hi after driving for about 30 minutes my car starts making louder noise like engine revving (but tacho not moving) and the car vibrates. This lasts for about 30 seconds. It is most noticeable and seems to occur most when idling, for example when stop at traffic lights. I wonder if it is some cooling fan or something that comes on and maybe there is some fault with it. Any ideas?

Check the engine mounts first. Then check the oil level...did you have it changed recently?

If its too much oil, take about a quart out.

Thanks, it has happening ever since I bought the car two years ago even when I get message to add oil so don't think it is too much oil. I am having serviced next week so will ask them to check engine mounts. Does anyone know what fans come on every half hour or so?
