DISTANCE SENSOR - MERCEDES-BENZ (211-540-06-17)

What on earth is that? Seems like it should be a wear sensor... but they have confused it with the distance sensor for the adaptive cruise?

off topic, why was my URL changed after posting? Perhaps to avoid spam/click baiting? The URL to the parts catalog was really long so I used a link shortener. Is that a no-no here? (Sorry, new to these here parts).

Yep, as soon as they are out of warranty, we send them to the scrap heap.

well, the typical benz depreciation reflects these high maintenance and repair costs rather appropriately. Whether you choose to send it to the scrap heap out of warranty is entirely up to you.
