Exactly. 2 K is insane! Race Port BOV with SS flange is about $300. Spent about $50 bucks on odds and ends. ( Silicone Vacuum line, barbs, bungs, clamps, sealant). I am sure any competent Fab/welding shop can TIG up the flange for at most $100. You end up with a better BOV and solution for 1/4 the price.

All BOV/ASV require connection to a boost/vacuum source. It's required to provide pressure to the diaphragm/ piston under boost, and transition to vacuum to initiate the vent. The weistec kit will need to get vacuum from somewhere to work. A spacer on the map sensor is their likely choice.

What he said. Remove covers, and airbox. Undo the oil lines, remove Intake pipe to turbo, then remove charge pipe. 20 mins tops.

Captree is early summer then it moves to obi during summer months, OBI was a club years ago on ocean parkway it’s a few miles west of Captree on ocean parkway , it’s much better at Captree the lot is much bigger , sometimes I get there by 7am and there’s no spots left to park there’s a lot of cars, Now I’m not sure if it moved yet I will call somebody and find out where it is now I haven’t been there in a month , I would like to meet that’s great

Looks like Renntech had issues with the BOV/Anti-surge/Diverter and now they have a 3rd version. Anyone try the latest one (3rd):
https://www.renntechmercedes.com/ind...cls-e-a-detail
RENNtech's 3rd Generation Diverter Valve for the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo features an all-new Blow-Off Valve implemented into the re-designed OEM turbo tubes.
The Diverter Valve releases the boost in high-boost situation and/or boost spikes. This especially helps during the shifting process, for faster shifting and a quicker boost response for the next gear. It helps to eliminated the so called 'Boost Lag'.
With the installation of the RENNtech Diverter Valve, we are able to supply the engine with more boost pressure in order to gain higher HP numbers.
Please see the RENNtech R1 Package for the M157 engine for the perfect combination of the RENNtech ECU Upgrade and Diverter Valve.
The turbo tubes are ceramic coated in titanium to sustain high temperature and provide a more aesthetic look in the engine bay.
Notes:
Fitment:
Also available for all other vehicles equipped with the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo Engine. Please see related produtcs.

Anyone have diy step by step install on the Renntech Diverter Valve?
what are these 2 pipes that are in the way of the diverter pipe?
would fluids spill out if they are disconnected?

I have the gen 3 installed on my car. I have had it on there for two years with zero issues. The kit came with instructions and it took me about four hours to install. Hardest part was getting the pipe back on over the turbo. This was a quick video i made with my cell phone so the sound isnt that great but you can hear it venting.

What did you conclude to get the pipe over the rubber on the turbo side?

I watched some other turbo videos and I ended up using petroleum jelly and a lot of it. I also saw it one of Tasks Maschatos videos. Also I didn't remove any of the oil lines to install it.
