Steel Replacements for factory CCB Rotors

All,

Does anybody know of Steel Rotor replacements of the factory $$ ceramic rotors?

Couldn't find a definitive answer in the search function.

A lot of Porsche owners convert CCB to steel for the track, I don’t have much experience with AMG on this front but I do know that going from steel to CCB is achieved with a roter, caliper, pads, and small parts swap, therefore CCB to steel will likely be the same. Your dealer will be able to detail the parts list for you.

Different calipers implies different pad geometry so even if you found a suitable steel rotor replacement that worked with the CCB calipers you'd also have to find some steel compatible brake pads.

That being said if you sell off your CCB parts and they would fit a '14 wagon... let me know

Out of curiosity what then is the point of CCBs if not to use on track??

CCBs on a street car have the benefits of no dust and an extremely long service life. The CCB discs are a wear item however and when used on the track their increased longevity over the steel discs is not enough to come out ahead cost wise so many do the swap for the economics. A good setup with steel rotors can be just as fade free as a CCB setup for mortals so unless you are racing and have the budget (and the rules allow it) the steel rotors just make more sense.
