Sport modes dial
Is the dial to switch between Comfort, Sport, Sport +, etc only affecting the transmission? Ie, no affect on throttle response, steering feel, etc?

Assume you referring to a W212 2016, not an early W213 E63?
I believe the dial you referring to only affects the transmission programming ie faster upshifts/ holding lower gears longer and rev matching with downshifts in S/S+/M modes. In S/S+ mode the transmission is noticeably more eager to downshift when throttle applied, but think this is more through programming rather than a change in throttle sensitivity/responsiveness per se. I do not believe there is any change to steering in the different modes.

Sport and sport plus (on the dial) will start in 1st gear (vs second in comfort). There should be a marked difference in throttle response in sport plus vs comfort (not so much sport)
