Found a Sweet 2015 Locally
Hey Guys,
I just found a sweet 2015 E63s about 30 miles away at a dealer that is closed on the weekend (strange right). Anyway, It's loaded and gorgeous. AMG NIGHT PACKAGE TOO! Only thing it doesnt have that I can tell is ceramic brakes but I'm cool with that.
I had my SA run the VIN Friday night and he said it IS ELIGABLE for the MB extended warranty and prepaid maintenance. But its not CPO.
If the car is still available tomorrow, I will likely pull the trigger. But i have one BIG QUESTION:
Am I missing out on anything substantial by not going with a 2016??
Any major improvements from 2015 to 2016?
I will be posting picks soon I hope if I get it!
Cheers!

Personally I would go with the 16. It's the last of its kind 5.5L V8 with the regal interior before they ruined it with making it look the same as the S class and a hideous electronic odometer. Think of it as owning the 16 it will be remembered as the finest w212 E63S ever made by MB before pussifying it.

Id be worry about it not being CPOed. The very lease is to have a third part Mercedes inspection making sure the car is in tip top shape.

Cpo can be a scam depending on the dealer .. they miss stuff
carfax also unreliable
you need a good third party inspection and paint meter

UPDATE:
I DID IT!!!
I will posting pics of the NEW EVA soon.
Couple of comments on prior posts to this thread:
1) CPO is not a must. MB extended warranty eligibility IS however. I purchased the 7 years 100k warranty. SA told me that in this case it is actually better than the CPO because there are things covered under the warranty that are not covered during the 1 year of the CPO. So basically the car is fully covered until 2022. Still covered under the 4 year/50k for 12 more months also.
2) I did have the car inspected for the obvious stuff and all passed. Brakes are even above 50% left. Car is perfectly straight. No evidence of any work being done. Paint is flawless.
3) I also bought the pre-paid maintenance that covers the next three services. 2 of these are majors too. In the next 3 I will be getting trans service, rear end (471 locking diff) service, spark plugs, air filters, etc. Total to me $2015. Saves about $1150 total.
All in all, pretty excited here. Car is beautiful. Really setup nicely and tastefully.
Pics to come ! Stay Tuned.

Congratulation. If you plan on tuning the car, when you get your spark plugs changed, get colder plugs and gap them right ( 0.0010? ) so you don't need to change them again when you get a tune.
