Carbon ceramic to iron rotors?
Planning ahead - has anyone who's ran into issues with their carbon ceramics ( out of warranty ), rather than dropping $10k on new rotors opted to switching to iron rotors? I'd imagine that the OEM iron rotors are different dimensions, or are they both the same?

Different dimensions for sure.

If you want to swap, I'd be happy to swap my iron set for your CCBs.

It's more a if anything occurs with the CCB rotor ( I've seen some where they've cracked ) or when the time comes to where they're worn - it's a do I want to drop $10-14k replacing them vs $2k for say, Girodiscs or something.

I promise I'm not just saying that for you to swap systems with me.

There might be a compatible rotor in the line up somewhere? I wonder if you could source appropriate pads for the CCB calipers?

i have no idea what the MB official durability figures are for CCB's but i have a buddy who drives his car with 'spirit' who is at about 90K miles. I think that is a decent 'value'.
