2016 E63 Extended Warranty Advice

If it's been CPO'd then the factory ELW is not available and you get the 1 year / unlimited miles CPO warranty at the end of the factory warranty expiration. The CPO warranty is good, but not as good as the factory warranty. Certain things are excluded like hoses or the grille whistle repair. The CPO warranty can be extended for another 2 years / unlimited miles which if opted for will extend from the expiration of the factory limited warranty 3 years (1 year CPO + 2 year CPO extension).
Beyond that you're in the realm of 3rd party warranties that I didn't research.

What is “the grill whistle repair”? I ask as I bought a 2016 E63S CPO and hear a faint whistle at highway speeds. I asked the dealer if there any known when noises, whistles, and he didn’t seem to know of any and said they need my car for a whole day at some point to try to diagnose it. Plus my car must’ve had the windshield replaced as it’s not original Mercedes glass which he said could be the cause.

if you google around you may be able to find the pictures of where to put tape to simulate the repair

I'm helpful too, I promise!... /sadfaceI kid, I kid..
In reality though, so everyone knows, Mercedes-Benz official warranties are priced the same nationwide, it's just a matter of the profit someone wants to make. MBUSA charges the dealer a certain amount for each specific policy, and the dealer charges you what MBUSA suggests or what they would like to. People like myself and Jeff are very upfront with this information, which allows the consumer to have full confidence that they are not overpaying for the policy.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
