Replacement options for factory e63 active strut?

lowered my 14 63 to find a strut was blown. Spent 1,050 for a new one. It’s been 3 days and I’m not a fan of how it feels. Doesn’t have that stiff feel I was hoping to achieve with h&r lowering springs. I have played with the active suspension to see how it works. If any are unplugged there isn’t any dash light , but the car goes into automatic sport mode . Which on the button that’s one light onn. I was considering installing b6 performance struts with kw coilover sleeves. B6 are far sturdier than the factory Monroe shocks. I know it caters to softer ride with the ability to make it slightly firmer. I like the stiffer planted feel. That said I’m sure I can loop the front plugs that way I can still make the rears stiffer if I wanted and not lose the rear adjustable damper. Wanted to hear your thoughts. Beilstein sells b4 oe replacement for the e550 basic and the e350 4matic. And they have performance/Street b6 which are what I’m going to order.

How many miles on your '14? I often also want the car to feel firmer and more planted and have been preemptively searching the interwebs for when this (Struts going bad) happens. Did a quick search when I saw this thread and found a couple of potential solutions should one consider relinquishing front damper adjustability from the cabin (though I dunno what sorta electronic foe one will face)... A company I have never heard of https://ceika-store.com/products/cct...yABEgKz5fD_BwE But a product like this would be perfect IMO... now, if only it were made by a known company. BC makes a set also, but then I realized it said in bold red print WILL NOT WORK ON AWD CARS. KW makes http://www.modbargains.com/KW-Coilov...2-35225069.htm but it doesn't come with camber plates. Also, seems like the rear air suspension will also have to go.
Thank you for the info on the B6's.

So did it blow because you lowered it?

Get the 2016 one if it will fit, seems smoother than any other I've driven
