Needed - X-pipe sound clip
Does anyone in here have a W212 E63 have an x-pipe with the rest of the exhaust stock? I'm curious on how it sounds. I've done the loud car thing and I'm over it. Just want to get a bit more aggressive of a sound under load so I want to keep the mufflers intact. Debating on whether I want to go with a tune+catless downpipes or tune+x-pipe, but I couldn't find any clips on Youtube of an x-pipe that didn't delete other components as well.

I wish my M157 BiTurbo E63 S was approx 5% louder at idle and cruise and 20% louder at WOT without a change in exhaust tone, pitch or refinement. I wonder if replacing the center muffler with an H-pipe would get me what I want? |
wished mine sounded like a stock mustang gt

Do you guys know that YouTube is a thing; i searched "e63 x pipe" enjoy |
I have turbo back downpipes with stock resonators and mufflers. Its slightly louder than stock cruising around but wakes up when you get on it. Plus you get the nice turbo spool noise at lower rpms.

That video is of an x-pipe with another component also deleted. It's also an N/A E63. I'm looking purely for an x-pipe resonator delete on a bi-turbo.

Its actually more quiet inside the car with an xpipe than the stock resonator. Do an h pipe if you want a little more volume inside the car.
it is louder outside the car with the xpipe, but you cannot tell |
Here is my thread

Had my resonator deleted on my E63, and had it replaced it with an X pipe. At first it didn't sound any different than stock, but it's slowly being broken in with the rest of the exhaust and it sounds amazing!

Thanks Anotherone. Do you happen to remember what diameter x-pipe you went with? It's 2 3/4" piping right?
|
It's the same size as stock - I think thats the right size. It's a Magnaflow X pipe.
