2012 E63 Wagon Cup Holder Cover Stuck Closed
Hey Folks,
My wife and I are the proud new owners of a W212 E63 AMG wagon! We are absolutely in love with the car. I'll do an intro thread later, but one quick question:
The car has a few minor niggles that im sure I'll be asking about (this forum was invaluable in researching and inspecting the car, so thanks!), but on the way home from buying the car, I closed the "lid" on the cupholders and have been unable to open it since. It opens ~.5" and then seems stuck.
I did some searching and didn't find anything specific on these cars. The seller has offered to fix it for me, but they're a few hours away. Has anyone seen this before? Any quick fixes or thoughts on how to get enough trim out to pull the cover out and fix the jam?
Thanks so much for the help!
Cheers,
Mike

Resolution!
Ok, I finally had the chance to get this fixed and wanted to post the resolution in case anyone else finds themselves with this problem later on (sorry for bumping my own thread here).
As it turns out, there are a large number of little plastic tabs glued to the bottom of the cover, and these had gotten loose and jammed up the track. Here's what my cover looked like after I pulled it out:
Anyway, I made a quick video on how to get the right trim from the center console off and replace the cover.

Tools Required:
- T20 Torx Screwdriver (or socket on a wrench)
- Cup Holder Cover (Mercedes calls this a "Roller Blind" or "Door")
- Black: 204-680-76-07-9051
- Beige: 204-680-76-07-7E94

Thanks! Had this issue, found the video and ordered the part.
I noticed though that my existing cover that's missing slats (most have fallen off in the process of dealing with this issue) still has 3 unaccounted for, and doesn't seem to be going on very smoothly so I assume they're lost in the space where the cover goes when it's open, and I'm hesitant to put a new cover on since it'll likely get jammed again.
Any tips for fishing them out?
