Whistle noise m156 E63 AMG
 

Sup guys. I have gotten a check engine light on my E63 AMG today. Wondering if anyone of you recognize the whistly noise from the sides of the engine?

Sadly not. I don't have a OBD reader.

I am going to the mechanic my insurance company assigned to me on friday. I will update the thread in case someone gets the same thing.

I've just had that whirling sound (at 0:10) on my 2013 C63 with 62k miles last week, but no check engine light. It only happened during cold starts & would go away when warmed up. I was thinking maybe pullies but I'm not sure, the sound went away this week. :nix: Please do update the thread when you find out, I'm curious to know what it is as well.

sounds like your intake manifold gasket, a common problem on the M156. the CEL is likely a lean code due to the unmeasured air entering the engine.
