Saw this car on Manheim with 566,861 miles.

Often the carfax has the maintenance records but you're right it's not likely he went to a dealer; but I wanna see if it needed a new engine or something that can explain why it's got 500k miles on it and it's still running ... what kind of daily driving can you do to generate this type of mileage in America within 9 years???

i think we have potentially something to learn from the latest owner(s) about maintaining a car like this

As discussed above - amazing number though.
And in 9 years that's 63k miles / year, or 1,200 miles / week, or 250 miles / day. That's more than most realtor will do.

I was thinking the daily distance driven. Did they do nothing but plan road trips? That's easily 3-4hrs after everything's said and done. Combined that with other thing that a human does, to do that much distance every day on average is impressive.

lets say it was sold in 2009 so call it 10 years for ease of math.

that means 56,681 miles per year
or 1090 miles per week.
Figure driving to work 5 days a week and I hope not on weekends.
= 218 miles per day.
or 109 miles one way for commute to say work...

Makes no sense. As of 07/2016 it shows about 49K miles. Now, in 2019, the IC shows 566K miles. That's over 500K miles in less than 3 years. Can't be so.

On 5/16/18, the vehicle was inspected and the reported mileage was 57,128 miles. That means in less than 11 months, magically someone put 509,733 miles.

so it had to drive constantly at 65 mph non stop for 11 months ... drug trafficking?

The owner also apparently found long stretches void of rocks and road debris as the front end should be more worn from rock chips. I'm pretty sure this mileage is wrong and as someone mentioned, the cluster was likely swapped out incorrectly.

Yeah, that is wild. Someone will pay a super low price for a ~60k mile car theoretically.
