Toronto was harder for me to deal with. They kept redirecting for me to come in local and get an old school local tune (for a LOT more money). I ended up getting my hand-held tune from Texas and they shipped to me in Canada no problem.

I GOT MY TUNE FILE LAST NIGHT! I am going to try it out as soon as I have a few minutes. I'm also planning to go to the track April 20/21 and do some flashing back and forth from stock and compare.

Eurocharged says to try it with the stock plugs first, and if I have issues I can then swap to NGK97506 gapped to 0.22. They said it might run just fine on the current plugs and to try it out. I'm ascared.

My tune file is called "STG2Plus.MYG" anyone else have a plus?

Wow.

A lot more power.
So much torque, even farting around the city in comfort mode it shifts so early and I’m still passing people. What a hoot lol.
Sport Plus: woohoo! OMG. You need a lot more road to fool around and traction comes and goes under 100kph

My butt-o-meter is not qualified to say how much more power except that it’s very obvious. I can’t wait to take it to the track and quantify just how much more.

No misfires yet! Stock car stock plugs “Stage2Plus” tune.

Wow!

Wow!
so doing the tune this way, vs going into the local EC shop to get it done has no difference? Is it exactly the same file/peroformance or is there any benefit of doing it at the shop?

same file, and the shop has a master handheld that would apply it the same way

Just a time saver and the fact that you can flash your stock file whenever you want

I got my stage 2 tune by the EC in Toronto, then went back to add the burble option, but now i want to remove the burble tune cause its not as fun as i thought. Only issue is that i am about 5 hours away from Toronto. Getting a hand held would be perfect for me, but i don't want to pay for another Tune. Is there a way get it?

Also, you said the tune is maxing out the engine reliability, so what happens when you add catless downpipes to the EC stg2 tune?

this will easily add another 20-40wtq under the curve, on top of what the tune is already doing on its own.
I'm not planning on doing any tracking at this point, but may do so sometime this year. Looks like IT Guy will be tracking his soon. I mentioned that the stage 2 tune maxes out the torque production for what the stock transmission can hold. If you look at the torque curve on the dyno (for my tune), the max torque generated is in the 1500-4000 (moderate) RPM range--any more torque generated than this, the stock transmission will start slipping (of note, if you build up the transmission with new clutch plates modification by AMS Performance, you can go with an even more aggresive tune with even more max torque production than what I have). However, starting around 4200 rpm, the generated torque value begins to gradually drop as you approach the upper end of the RPM range. With downpipes added, the best performance results you'll see are midrange to redline rpm gains. In theory, the low/moderate rpm max torque with downpipes should remain the same max torque values as stock (assuming it's tuned that way) but at moderate/high/redline rpms, the engine should consistently generate higher torque (and thus higher HP; guessing 30-40 HP gain over a stock car, short of seeing an actual dyno) than without the downpipes. However the torque generated with downpipes is higher than stock (at moderate/high rpms), it will still be less than the max torque generated at the low/moderate rpm, so your transmission should be safe. And in theory, having higher HPshould yield a higher 1/4 trap speed.

I'm curious to what the difference between my tune and your tune is as we both got 2 different tune names. I requested a tune for 91/93 octane gas, all stock car, 2700 feet above sea level. May have to check with Eurocharged for comparison. Any requests you made when you bought your Eurocharged M157 tune? Regardless, I feel like driving the car with the stage II Eurocharged tune makes it feel like a totally different driving experience than before with the improved throttle response, and more available torque--glad our cars are AWD as having this tune on a RWD car would be quite scary. It's also nice to still to be able to cruise (i.e. same noise levels) like a stock tune car when you're driving conservatively--no complaints whatsoever.

Is nobody ordering this thing with anything but stage 2 tunes? I’d think main point is to have multiple tunes like 91/100/104 octane at the push of a button...???

This was my order: “As close to 130 and 10s in the 1/4 as possible. Tell me what plugs to buy. Thank you.”

I don't know about straight E85, but I do know some guys are adding 4 gallons of E85 and topping the tank off with 93 for an equivalent octane rating around 97, and then driving the car for a day to give the ECU time to adjust and then hitting the track, with good results.

Reporting in on my 3rd day with a lot of mixed driving.

So much better of a car. Even if you are not concerned about being super fast to race, or go to the track, etc, this tune is still for you. It just makes such a better driving experience. Everyone should get it. This is how the car should be stock.
Part throttle and cruising around is so effortless.
The sounds are better in C. More grunting. The sounds are better in Sport+. More banshee.
The extra oomph everywhere - perfect.

What a joy. Thank you EC!

The ECU can adjust for a few octane points but nowhere near that much!

what airmatic work and issues? I’m asking because I have 35k and just ordered kw has lowering kit. I’m sure they’ll blame the kit if I have any issues later on

also ordered the tune

live in NY and this is a daily. So the snow / salt/ potholes everywhere rape the suspension

Yeah I get that I'm wondering if anyone has tuned for E85. I know CTS-V and other boosted cars can have huge gains running pure E85.

Nobody. If you haven’t noticed, MB tuners are pretty much limited to timing and fuel. Yes, I’m being a little facetious but I’m not off by much. No tuners can incorporate all the fuel system hardware upgrades needed to run E85 into their software to make it run. I mean think about it, tuners are just now providing this platform with OBDII tuning...a technology that’s well over a decade old.

You’re still a bit early. If it’s anything like the E55, you won’t be able to run E85 for another 7-8 years!
