Transmission Slip Need Help

So not even a day of owning it I’m driving home from work tranny hot and super hot outside i go to hit the gas to go nothing hard just 20-25% throttle and its struggling to go like its slipping. Im in comfort mode 2nd gear start. In S it would rev a bit and then go. Today as I’m taking it to the dealer i come to a stop hit the gas to go after its clear making a right it revved a tad and look like it kinda banged into the gear and went nothing hard. Tranny oil on the carfax was done at 42k miles and the car as we speak has 66k. Its at the dealer now getting looked at. Its a 2013 E63.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ECU dyno tune; EDOK TCU tune; BB intakes; sprintbooster
Could just be the mct; May need to be replaced or re adapted - specifically the wet clutch

If it is in fact slipping then you will most likely have to replace the clutch packs and not the wet clutch. If out of warranty id go with AMS clutch packs made by Exedy. They handle more abuse than oems.

Could also be the solenoid valves, dealer will know once they check the values stored in the ecu.

The OP Describes all his issues only when he's at the stop and then starting to accelerate. He doesn't describe anything about shifting between gears such as routine up shifting or downshifting; with this very limited info, i think he's got an mct problem

With these modern transmissions and how they adapt to the driver, sometimes the adaptation algorithm will put them out of the zone of comfort and when shifting gears it'll be harsh, therefore when they re-adapt or reset the transmission sometimes that learns a new pattern of driving and smooth the shifts

Yes, when im driving its very smooth and even when you floor it, it goes. Even during wide open throttle shifts. In sport it will rev up a bit and go into gear from a stop once its hot. I was in stop and go traffic and it was fine but when i exited the freeway from a stop it started to slip and is over exaggerated in comfort mode since it starts in 2nd gear. Car doesn't have alot of miles 66k. Maybe when they changed tranny oil around 42k they used wrong oil or not put enough or maybe adaptation not sure. Its at the dealer now getting it looked over.

Reason i said clutch packs and not mct is because people usually replace the clutch packs when trans starts slipping.
A bad clutch pack will have similar symptoms, issues between shifts would be more valvebody/solenoids related.

Dealer came back told me cant replicate, what a shocker on this one. So there gonna keep it till tomorrow do an extensive mile test 50 miles and see what happens then. Pretty good feeling, cant replicate will be coming up again. Tranny indeed slips off the line when warm.

Make sure you go on the test drive with them, to see if it happens again. Always suspicious myself that the "couldn't replicate" line translates as "lets see if can fob this bloke off till the warranty expires".

I actually test drove the car back in April when the dealer first had it for sale (for close to $40k at the time), & during the test drive I remember in S mode the transmission downshifted to 1st gear very very harshly, enough for me & the salesperson ( I believe his name was Scott) to look at each other like what was that. He had no explanation though I chalked it up to the MCT behaving weirdly when still cold, as both my C63 & E63 are a bit jerky when cold, though never that harsh. Did you end up finding what the issue was?

I think he did a tranny oil change or reseted it. When i got it i noticed the flap on the obd2 was loose. Ive been driving it now for a couple of days and knock on wood its been great. He did damage the car somehow because in the pics the rear bumper passenger side looks real shiny and original. When i got it, it was obvious it was re sprayed, paint was dull and i saw polish residue everywhere. I did leave him a nice yelp review. Getting that fixed is no biggie to me worked at a body shop and know someone that does great work and will hook me up. Getting a bad review for being dishonest about exterior condition is exactly what he got. Funny thing is this car has been at the dealer i took it to a couple of days ago back in 2016.
