Clutch slip in low rpm/high gear/high load scenario (with tune)

Does anyone else experience this? With my tune, if I stomp it in manual mode in a high gear @ low rpm (e.g., 2k RPM in 7th), there's solid connection for a second, then clutch slips/RPM shoots up ~1k, then solid connection again as the wheels catch up to speed with RPM (all over in a couple seconds).

This does NOT happen when I flash back to stock programming (solid connection the entire time).

Any ideas why this is happening? Too much torque so TCU decides to disengage a bit to protect itself? Or is the torque so high it's literally creating slip mechanically? I really hope not the latter.

Tune is stage 1, theoretically ~660hp/740ftlb at the crank.

Might want to contact your tuner and ask if they MIGHT be sending the tcu incorrect tq values from the ecu in order to get around the tq limits, this would decrease line pressure in the trans. But be careful, once a trans starts to slip, its the start of the end. Stay stock until then i would say.
Other items to go down the list for trans would be, trans fluid change/level check, full re-adapation of the trans via benz STAR program/computer.

Yea, the fact that there's zero slip when it's stock gives me hope that the clutch itself is ok. Thanks for the tips!

Bumping an old thread, but sounds similar to my situation - did you ever get this resolved?
