2014 E63S downshift exhaust gone
i was wondering if anything could help me out
i have a m157 e63s and for some reason this when downshifting, you can’t hear the exhaust
im a big fan of this and i don’t know why for some reason it won’t do it
So, no, you're not mistaken. A hot exhaust is a lively exhaust.
i was under the impression that the car does the aggressive downshifts in S+ also
but in this case nothing at all
i always assumed that the car does this stock and a tune and exhaust work simply make this sound more aggressive
I’m not sure why it won’t do it
when in S+ and aggressive driving, the RMP’s do stay higher but the the exhaust note just isn’t there
or a battery pull for 1 hour
then start her up and only drive aggressively in S+

OP -- Do as others have suggested. Just unplug the battery for an hour but you also have to drive the car pretty hard and heat it up. Obviously let it warm up first, then get on it a little, and it should bark at you.
Have you ever been able to achieve the sound you want / anticipate? Or are you just assuming that it should bark and snap and haven't heard it yet? If you haven't heard it yet, drive harder.

OP my 2016 only burbles and pops on low speed deceleration, not on a downshift. Can make it pop on occasion on a high rev in neutral as well. Not sure if that answers your question.
